Does anyone know exactly why they change your due date at the dating scan? I know baby’s can measure different but surely sticking with your dates is more accurate for that reason? I’m 10000% on my dates even implantation and ovulation but they brought my due date forward by 5 days. My girls were big babies so I’m assuming this one is too. I had scans at 6 weeks and 9 weeks which were accurate on my dates, but now at 13 weeks they’re putting me at nearly 14. I know it’s not a big deal but it’s annoyed me haha.

Baby boy arrived this afternoon exactly 3 weeks early, following a several hours in a failed epidural, successful epidural, and finally an emergency C-section this morning. He is just perfect
Congratulations! Happy birthday baby!

This is such a dumb question - when is baby big enough to reach your ribs? 25+5 with admittedly a short torso and I’m feeling this like… internal spasms on the left underside of my rib age. Like when you get a muscle twitch. Is that kicking or shall I chalk it up to other? 😂 baby isn’t big enough surely??

Yep😊
Felt overwhelmed and terrified with both pregnancies!
It's completely normal, and honestly as annoying as it is hearing it, you all of a sudden just seem to know and pick things up along the way
I’m glad to hear it honestly because I’m so lost!

Thanks ladies re back pain replies.
It’s not settling at all and I’m getting tummy cramps but can still feel baby wriggling. I also feel sick. I’m wondering if it’s a possible UTI? I can’t sleep hence the 3am club 🙃 don’t have any issues weeing, doesn’t burn or anything. Is it worth a ring to maternity assessment in the morning?Feels too severe to be stretching pains?! But also never had a UTI in my life.
In my experience, its always worth ringing for advice.
Still feeling baby move doesn't always mean nothing is wrong 😊
Not saying it is, obviously. But better to get checked out.

Absolutely full of cold, pressure in my head and ears, chesty and struggling to catch my breath at times. Worried about flu/Covid as there’s so much around at my work and people refuse to stay off when they’re ill. Will do a Covid test later, but if that’s negative, what’s my next step? Do I need to contact my midwife?

I am really suffering with sciatica - after my trip to maternity assessment I feel a bit silly thinking I was ill. My back totally went last night and it was agony - I mean, I’d rather do child birth!

Feeling a bit better from moving around but my job is desk based and I think a few days off might help as the pain is terrible. My boss has suggested I work from home in bed. I work for theNHS and even this week people have called in sick with a cough and not worked! I don’t even know what to respond to her. Working in bed won’t help me at all.
I had this in a previous pregnancy, my doctor refered me to physio because of it, so maybe worth mentioning?
Have you tried swimming, I always found that helped ease it a bit for me. I'm actually 16 weeks pregnant now and trying to go twice a week in the hopes I don't end up with it again as its just a horrible pain!

Guys pls help I’ve become so obsessed with cleaning I can’t stop thinking about it. I dream about it and constantly watch tiktoks of people cleaning their sinks. Every time I clean or do the washing up I can’t bring myself to stop. Is this nesting? I’m only 26 weeks but the urges are crazy and I’ve always hated cleaning, never been a tidy person. I can’t sit still I just want to clean 24/7😂🫣

Is it normal for baby movements to change? I’m 27 weeks and baby normally kicks the living daylights out of me on a night and then when I wake up on a morning. There wasn’t much last night, and not loads this morning either just more like gentle tapping. Still moving, but not as much as usual.

I don’t know if I’m allowed to say but omeprazole worked for me
I told the GP receptionist I didn’t even want an appointment just call me once it was prescribed 😂
Disclaimer: I don’t know your medical background so please check with a medical professional before using
Thank you I’ve seen others saying about omeprazole! I may have to call tomorrow and see what they say. It’s doing my head in now 🤣

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely give anything a try at this point so any suggestion is so welcome! 🤣 hope the unpacking is being kind to you! It’s a rubbish enough task to do when not pregnant so take it easy!
I hope one of them helps!
There are also some patches/strips I used in the past for period pains but check with your midwife first as I’m not sure if they’re suitable in pregnancy.
They give off a nice warm yet cooling feeling- they’re called ‘be you - monthly patches’.
Thank you!! It’s definitely going to be spread out over the next few weeks, I’m in no rush 😂

Thanks, I think I’d best call them in a few hours when it seems a “normal” time!

Midwife said I have traces of blood in my urine and has sent sample off to hospital. Has anyone else had this before? Did it all come back ok?

Yes I was wearing a mask beforehand as it was a hospital appointment. Could this effect it?! I’m 20 weeks. I’ve got GD test in 6 weeks at the hospital so I’m assuming they’ll test me again then.
In my experience, yes wearing a mask affects it

Because they can have people standing as well as people seated. I don’t see where OP said she moved to allow this woman through, just where she humiliated her and went ‘hehe sorry, hormones.’
They can’t - not always. It’s unsafe. I’ve been on buses commuting 4x a day for over 10 years in central london where they will literally have people squeezed face against the doors. Some bus drivers allow it, smart ones don’t they just drive past.

Anyone else have the occasional pain in the ribs type thing? I'm 23 and a bit weeks and every day from about 8pm, it feels like baby girl likes to sit basically on my right lung and it feels like a bruise when I touch my stomach. Assuming this is normal but as she's my first and I have no clue, thought to ask lmao! Just feels so achey when she's there.

Ladies, can any of you give me some hope for Lactolose? I’ve been on fybogel for 4 days and nothing. I’m in so much pain and just need “an evacuation”! Please god, someone give me hope.
I was prescribed lactulose after giving birth it took about 3 days to work initially (thank god cause I was in hospital for 2) then after that it would work within an hour or so. I was on 15ml a day
I’ve also given it to my baby when he’s constipated and it works within a couple of hours for him.
