So I saw a really interesting tiktok with some thoughts on why boy names are hard. Basically our brains (lol, autocorrected to Brian there!) gravitate towards girl names because we’re genetically wired to see babies as cute and innocent so we protect them. As a result, any “boy” or gender neutral names that become popular as girl names (Lindsay, Beverly, Addison) tend to stick as girls names and we find it difficult to switch them back or keep them gender neutral. So there’s a much smaller pool of male names!
