We’ve picked our names but we still have people suggesting things 🙄 we told people a while back a few that we were considering but haven’t 100% confirmed them now (even though we’ve definitely decided) because I don’t want peoples opinions!
When I was pregnant with my son, my mum suggested 4 names. They were Alfie, Archie, Stanley and George. How did she come up with those names you ask? Are they family names or names that she wanted for her son?

No, it’s the names of her dogs.

We have a girls name we like and middle but mixed together she might sound like a porn star 😂😂😂
I went to uni with a Lacey Dark and honestly she needed to go and star in adult entertainment 🤣

Our girls name is Dorothy. MIL says she would refuse to call the girl Dorothy. I said that’s fine, as the girl won’t call her Nanny but rather Sharon instead. She didn’t like that.

I feel the impression of me on this thread is not a positive one.
I love that name! 😍

We have to be strong with these MIL or they will take the mick. I don't know if anyone remembers but I was the one having an issue with the pony, MIL wanted to get a pony for her as soon as she was born. That seems to have simmered down and she's got the message.

@Disneylifeonly My friend's son is called Marshall, I've always liked that one too.

@Sailorontheseasea I wanted to call her Nora from the start but thought she might have to have a 'business' name, if that makes sense... Nova is a gorgeous name!

Re advice: ROCKET ICE LOLLIES ARE A LIFE SAVER PASS IT ON.

On names: @grumpycat ah it’s such a lovely name isn’t it. Don’t worry, both of my boys names I veto’d my whole pregnancies but in some weird drugged up post c section haze decided to give them names I previously didn’t like and would die on the hill against 🤣 luckily I still love them now and they suit them down to the ground. Girls names I’m all over and deffo will make sure I have chosen in stone beforehand 🤣

Also @Smallpotato I bloody love the name Dorothy! Your MIL sounds like a right bucket of laughs 🙃 I feel you sis

Both my MIL and my Mum are delightful. Mum said if I named my daughter Pixie she wouldn’t talk to me again, so my husband is like I LOVE PIXIE!!!!

Ffs I get comments like that from my dad, I do actually get on well with him and we are close but when he’s in one of those moods where he genuinely means it I’m like TRY ME witch. Literally who do they think they are 🤣

Ooh dear I didn't think about baby listening to my music... I think I'll need to switch to classical rather than Slip Knot and whoever else graced Kerrang in 2000.
My son loved moana soundtrack when I was pregnant. He would dance to you’re welcome every time. 4 years later, still the same. Moana is his favourite movie!

😂 luckily our sons I picked it and we kind of knew it was gonna be that but he threw some random choices in there too and I’m not sure why as once we agreed it was his name we should have just left it. It’s a bit like a scab isn’t it, you gotta pick at it to make sure 😂

When I was pregnant I had NO idea for a girl at all so I was glad he was a boy. This time I can’t think of a name that I like as much as my sons. Saying that I haven’t tried either 😂

We are the same- our kids will be brought up on our music tastes which are rap and rock kinda things. Found it great until my son was all ‘what’s the f word mummy?’ 😂😳

Yes my partner and inhave VERY different music tastes growing up
He was into Eminem and typically "chavvy music"
Whilst I was in a rock band, went to download Festival and was determined to be the next Hayley Williams
Now we both listen to the Hamilton soundtrack on repeat and I watch Disney movies pretty much daily
Our child is doomed 😂😂😂

Most mother-in-laws are bleeping awful. I’m sure they go to a school to learn to be toxic af.
I must admit I’m a bit concerned that one day I’m going to be “that” mother in law (I can’t see myself being interfering but more the opposite so I’m not interfering if that makes sense?)

32 weeks and had a scan today to check if placenta had moved out the way. Good news is that it has, bad news is that I appear to be growing a giant so need to be tested for diabetes

I’m only petite so the thought of a huge baby is not a pleasant thought 🥴

Parking me here too! Another thread! 😳
Currently almost 21 weeks! Bump is very much out there, which I really love.

Namewise we're not telling people the names we like.
We currently have a shortlist. But it's getting longer 😅

Mine left a voicemail at 10pm last night asking why we havnt told them the sex of the baby! I’m 16 weeks and we’re not finding out until the 20 week scan 🤦🏽‍♀️

I think we have names but I like the girls better so now I’m hoping for a girl 😂 I don’t want to tell people the name until the baby’s born but I feel like everyone will want to know ahh
