This is her last ditch attempt of trying to save her business before opening back up tomorrow
And risk bringing it to more customers’ attention and probably losing them? No chanceIf she was sincere, she’d also post an apology on the sighh account
I feel the same, I also have decals dotted around that I’m going to remove. Gutted. I can’t imagine how customers who were the target of her vile abuse feelCurrently staring at my sighh mirror decal knowing that it's coming straight off. appalling statement and appalling behaviour. Those tweets are some of the worst I've seen (and I've wasted hours on Elle Darby's thread looool|)|
Not to be pedantic but a lot of her tweets were less than 10 years ago. Also 2012 is hardly 1800s America - some of the terminology she has used to describe Black people goes back to a truly horrendous time in history.
Yes, exactly - her comments then read like something a racist old person would say, not a bleeping 16 year old in the 2010s. I was 16 in the early 2000s and let me tell you, NOBODY thought it was cool to use any of the slurs they did and neither did their parents. Not to be pedantic but a lot of her tweets were less than 10 years ago. Yeah I’m sorry but nobody was really using the word n*gro in 2013?? Except her it seemsNot to be pedantic but a lot of her tweets were less than 10 years ago. I’ve never used that word, I’m older than her by a couple of years and it was wrong when I was that age and it was certainly wrong when she said itYeah I’m sorry but nobody was really using the word n*gro in 2013?? Except her it seems
Her tweets suggest she would have been around the the age where she would have learned the word through history lessons or set literature texts such as To Kill A Mockingbird, where the context is definitely that using the word is WRONG and was wrong almost 100 years ago. The fact that she went on to use the word gleefully, knowing it was and remains wrong, is beyond forgiveness.CW - racist language
This one is from 2013. I’m guessing she would have been about 17??
