JSP has some wise words at the end of this clip (last 15 sec or so) about TV presenters not abusing their position of power with minors..... This was from 2013. She must have had certain people in mind as didn’t want to say who they were.

Christ - this really is amateur stuff. Never have I seen such a despicable person and situation unravel so publicly. The game is up, Phil - we know.

New thread suggestion;

Phillip Schofield #9 - Week 3 - Waiting for the truth - watch this spacey.
Or.. Waiting for the tRUTH - watch this spacey.

What was he playing at!!!! No 57 year old should we be replying to children under 18years old! Specially not a 'celeb' I think that ITV should know about this. Because unless they go through these chats meticulously I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else.. Surely this breaks ITV Code of Conduct!!!

At the end of Nicky Campbells Big debate this morning which was about racism and woke ness, NC who worked with PS at Radio 1 in 1989 made an ending statement along the lines of ‘ regarding Caroline Flack and the #be kind movement it’s a shame that some aren’t being kind’ subliminal or my mind working overtime, like he neede to get it out- it was completely unrelated to the topic discussed

As things stand, more than 2 weeks on, she is as complicit in the cover-up as anyone else. I understand the rationale for not speaking out in terms of her own career and future income, but I don't think she is any more or less worthy of credit than anyone else who is sitting on the knowledge that they have.

And tonight on DOI ! He will be his usual smarmy smug self
He undoubtedly has plenty of 'professional' front, but I think it will be what he sees in the eyes of his daughters that will leave him in no doubt how much hurt he has caused, and how he has diminished himself as a father. Yes, the public image will be supported with more stunts like the trip to Paris, but on an emotional level, he will know and they will know that things will never be the same again. That is the legacy he has to live with away from the cameras.

PS is in the oldest group and he targets the youngest group (on Snapchat).
For me, its THIS. And the fact that he often seems to send direct messages in the early hours of the morning. There is nothing to suggest that PS has done anything illegal. He is a 'Snapchat sensation' and Snapchat is predominantly used by young people so that is who he wants to have following him and sending him messages that he can choose to reply to directly. Let's not be under illusion about who he is targeting through his Snapchatting, it is YOUNG people. The question is whether he is doing anything inappropriate or that counters the image/brand he has that is the reason he's on TM?

Ruth probably signed a NDA when she joined this morning......which means she cant speak out however much she wants to..she would be sued, for thousands and lose her job. I dont think it's fair to blame her, there are a lot if people who work in a studio all of signed NDA's that's why no one talks! All of them know what's going on. NO ONE IS GOING TO TALK., FOR FEAR OF BEING SUED.

Just throwing out there... in this age of #metoo, where young women feel more empowered to call out inappropriate behaviour from a person of the opposite sex in a position of power, is this so for young men and a person of the same sex. Perhaps a gay man on here could comment? How confident would a young man feel about pointing out inappropriate behaviour from a male colleague? Would he be believed, taken seriously and helped? Is it treated the same now or is there still a long way to go before young men can also feel they have a voice? Talking to my husband, and his view is that there's nothing illegal so its ok (with older man approaching much younger man) until I put it in the context of our daughters at 18 with a 50+ co-worker coming on to them - then he doesn't think its ok anymore.

I'm not saying she is to blame anymore than anyone else - but neither is she due anymore credit. No-one can be forced to sign a NDA against their will, it is a choice taken. Of course anyone can be sued if they tell untruths about someone else. As stated, I understand her silence, but I don't hold her in any higher regard than others who are keeping quiet.

If you want to work in the Entertainment Business you are asked to sign NDA's or you dont get the job it's as simple as that. I've signed a few in my time and I know if I hadn't been willing to I wouldn't have got the job, that's how it works I'm afraid.

Interesting. An NDA was originally to keep business secrets, so competitors wouldn't find out what a business was planning, which is reasonable. They've become something else entirely.

There is a difference between a general corporate NDA signed when commencing employment, and one that is crafted to suppress a specific incident thereafter. Neither of us know the detail or chronology of such matters at ITV, but a NDA does not supersede UK law - and you cannot be forced to sign one. A person only chooses to sign one if it suits them in some way at that time. Once more, I understand her rationale, but she has made her own choices.
