A couple of people on here yesterday said they 'knew for a fact' and 'had it on good authority' that some sort of expose would be run in the sunday papers about philth......of course it was all bullshit. They were either down right lying or their 'sources' don't know shit.

In one of the many Mail articles it says Holly started to talk about leaving earlier in the New Year, she wanted him gone and did not see him being ousted. So she started to talk about leaving. So she wanted to stop working with him months ago. But it looks like she was persuaded to hang on because they were going to let him go in the summer. Since then the court case happened.
Not a fan of HW but she may have been genuinely broadsided by the court case, the extent to which he knew about his brother’s crimes, the fact it was his nephew, and it’s not inconceivable that she has socialised with his brother and nephew. It says they spend a lot of time together, annual family holiday and many weekends. If she was already disliking him she would be pushed into full on revulsion now all this has come out. Plus she will hate how her very close association has tarnished her own reputation.
I think she is not to blame for his misdemeanours but she will have been aware for sure of his relationship with MM when he came to work there (but perhaps not aware of the grooming) and of his obnoxious ways with other people. She benefited from his friendship but she is a mother of young boys and having him around them now is completely unpalatable to her, as it would be for most parents. I think she did have shingles, brought on by stress. She knew she was working with someone who had turned a blind eye to child abuse, and started to believe the MM rumours. And she has to stand beside him. PS pushed that statement out because she has made it clear since she returned that she wants nothing to do with him. He is trying to demonstrate that if he goes, so does she, they go together like mac n cheese.
I hope MM is okay. He was groomed by Mr Showbiz, dazzled by him, and probably thought they would be living together at some point. Instead MM grew up. The young lad with the slight figure became a guy with some heft - that isn’t what PS is interested in. He served his purpose and when MM tried to remonstrate with him, that was when he was shoved off the show. Hopefully he loves his new life and he doesn’t get dragged in unwillingly to PS’s downfall. He looks like a nice guy.

Spot on. Those two were willing to speak out against the untouchable Philth even though they will have known what it would cost them professionally. Now instead of being on mainstream TV like a talent like Eamon should be, he's languishing on GBeebies watched by one man and his dog.

How have ITV got it so wrong? I don't think I know anyone, not one person, who has anything nice to say about this smarmy git. Read the room! He's a sleazebag who was hailed a "hero" for coming out as gay, when in reality it only happened because his hand was forced. His poor wife. I will be watching with interest tomorrow. How the fuck can they go on live television tomorrow and present like nothing has happened?! It makes a sham of the whole show, ITV and their partnership. This isn’t going away now. The press will be watching eagle eyed and looking for any hint of tension or friction, picking their every move apart. The viewers will be dong the same. Social media is going to rip them to shreds. How can they seriously do their daily press review when they’ve been the main headline all weekend? Its not like their isn’t a pool of other presenters they could use so I can only assume that Philth and YMU have pushed to keep things business as usual and ITV have had their hands forced for whatever reason to go along with it.
I genuinely do feel sorry for Holly and I know that won’t be a popular opinion, and yes she’s enabled him, but I think Philth has now shown himself to be quite dangerous with the not thinly veiled threats he made in that statement. He’s an absolutely disgusting, shameless excuse for a human being. No moral compass, no conscience or sense of shame. Interestingly on Mumsnet there was a post the other day from someone who claimed they’d worked at ITV and believed him to be a sociopath. Now I think that’s a strong possibility.
