I remember when I was a nipper and someone rang up Five Star on Going Live (which Filth co-presented, as it goes) and said “why are you so fucking crap?” Then the caller was partway through calling them motherfuckers when the call was abruptly ended I mentioned this on the Katie Price thread too as I thought of someone calling her out if there was a phone-in when she was on Jeremy Vine the other day. Phil must be on tenterhooks all the time. He knows what the majority of the public think of him.

I remember that too! Also remember it happened on another Saturday morning programme - can’t remember the group who were on but someone rang in and called them wankers! My friend who was watching it with her mum was mortified because her mum turned to her and said “what’s a wanker”!!!

With all Eamonn has been through with his health and losing his mother, I'm delighted for him that he can hopefully allow himself to take some satisfaction knowing now that Philth is probably on his way out career wise, and of course when it finally happens. Karma for how shitty Philth has been to many people.

Maybe it's the media's way of drawing attention to Philth as they aren't allowed to openly report on his deviances? Get the public thinking without getting sued?

Similarly with the queue jumping the media kept it in the spotlight, I would say as revenge for the way he has treated people so badly all over the years, without any apparent repercussions.

As I said earlier, hopefully the chickens are FINALLY coming home to roost. It's well past time.

I could never stand him. I can't claim to have suspected anything about him, but I always disliked him. Unsurprised when he came out, but I thought it was very sickening the way it was portrayed as him being some kind of hero

The only programme I watch that he presents is Dancing on Ice. Stephen Mulhern stood in for him on one programme last year and it was much better without Schofield.

Every time he speaks to the contestants, I just keep thinking what creepy thing is he going to say. He has an ego far beyond any talent he possesses. I imagine he is a nightmare to work with. All those who did work on This Morning and left it - I doubt any of them have a good word to say about him.

I imagine some of them plus the guests that he got away with treating like dirt are watching the beginning of his downfall () with some satisfaction.

I don't know how you could return to work, imagine your whole workforce knowing your brother has been up in court on an alleged peadophilia case? Also the allegations surrounding the ex-runner at TM. Even if he was "of age", it is still bizarre to have been socialising with the work experience kid on your own time, outside of work eating in restaurants etc... May not be anything legally wrong with that, but morally?!

Whilst I don't think he should be blamed for his brother's (potential) conviction, he does have to accept some accountability withholding the information until he knew he didn't have a choice.

I despise the manipulation of facts as well, its offensive to the public, police, justice system...etc to have alluded he is not close to his brother in order to save his own bacon when there is documented evidence he clearly is/was.

I don't think I'd have the front to return to work if it was me. Especially if my job regularly involved me being empathetic to abuse stories. Can hardly sanctimoniously shove pea do lists in PM's faces on the sofa now can he?!
