Yes very much so. The patches help a lotMight be a bit of a curve-ball, but has anyone noticed a surge in inattentive type ADD traits in peri?

You need to ask to see a different GP. Mine tries to make me see the same one but it’s your right to ask for another. A bit sexist I know, but assuming your drs receptionist is female (as most are) I would explain to them what is happening and say you would like to see someone else for a second opinion and be very clear how much this is impacting your mental health.Hi ladies, been directed here from ptwm page, relieved I'm not alone but sorry at the same time that so many of us are in the same boat.
I'm at the end of my rope with my GP who seems to be cut from the same cloth as some of yours from what I've read.
I told the Dr last week that I can't carry on like this. It's my 3rd time of going back about the same thing. I'm up all night itching my hands and feet, having difficulty swallowing, periods have got closer together and so much heavier. On top of that the pmt rage/sadness/anxiety and panic attacks is too much to cope with.
His response was that as I have pcos and thyroid issue, they are all the same symptoms. Won't do a thing to help other than prescribe antihistamine tablets and tell me to apply emollient 4 times a day
Been recommended the balance app so going to give that a go and see if I can make my case with a bit more evidence from that. Not even sure I want hrt as I know it's not a golden bullet but feel so helpless
Thanks for reading xx
I struggled at first to keep them on. Make sure your skin is completely dry, I find just below my hip is the best place after trial and error. My patches keep coming off. It's my first day and I've lost 2 already!
Bum cheek works best for meMy patches keep coming off. It's my first day and I've lost 2 already!
I’m very sorry you’re going through this. Would you feel able to ask for a second opinion from your surgery? Is there another GP or nurse practitioner you could speak to? Tell them you didn’t feel you e been properly listened to and would like to try HRT given how close you are to 45..Waking up and as soon as your eyes open you’ve surging anxiety. The last few days over ovulation have been brutal. I’ve had anxiety all my life but this is just horrible. I just needed to let that out, I’ve been crying since 7am. Waking up feeling this surging adrenaline for no damn reason is so hard. 🥲🥲🥲
I haven’t yet had hot flushes or night sweats, I’ve had cycles getting shorter over the last 2 years, then back to normal, then this year long cycles 45-55 days, then back to normal like they are now. Anxiety and depression this year, I feel totally lost in my head. Lost my umph for my hobbies and anything I enjoy. I feel isolated and alone. I’ve no Mum to talk to about this as we don’t have a close relationship, I tried to talk to her but she said basically suck it up.
My gp only let you do online econsult and I got told you’re 44 we don’t give treatment and it won’t be peri at my age despite telling them I’ve had pain, anxiety, depression, fatigue, cycles all over the place, crippling anxiety at ovulation, sleep issues…Is it worth taking HRT once I’m 45 if my cycles currently have settled again? For now. Should I wait out until the hot flushes start and haywire cycles kick in again?
I alternate sides as they say to use a different place. It gets sore more on one side than the other if I use the front of my body but stuck on the bum is largely okI’m very sorry you’re going through this. A few of you have said the area where you apply your patch gets sore- are you applying each one and the same place? I change mine Mon/Thurs - I’ve been swapping between legs each time I change it to give my skin a rest. Put them roughly on the same places on my right thigh as I do on my left x
Me too2am wakey wakey. Can't remember the last night I slept through. Can get to sleep, just can't stay asleep.
Have you tried magnesium2am wakey wakey. Can't remember the last night I slept through. Can get to sleep, just can't stay asleep.
Max richter sleep appYes. I take it sometimes. But I usually wake for a pee during the night, so it's a question of whether I can get back after that.
I haven’t got much storage on my phone at the mo (millions of photos that need sifting though) I normally listen to white noise or the audible sleep podcast with Jamie Dorman. They all work. Could you explain briefly the Max Richter app? I’d die load it and find space for it on my phone if you really rate it. Thank you xMax richter sleep app
Or watch people dig those weird dirt swimming pools on YouTube.
I woke needing a wee for the first time in about three years the other night and was really shocked.
Magnesium helps my sleep i think anyway. i do tend to stay asleep with itHave you tried magnesium
