Perimenopause #4 post your woes

Our bedroom is like this. Double aspect, but sash windows and we live on a main road so don't open them. And the sun is on our bedroom in the morning. We very quickly invested in an aircon unit which has been an absolute godsend! Luckily the downstairs of our house is like a fridge!
I’m seriously considering ac, this house is like satan’s lair! Even in winter it’s quite a warm house, I used to think it was lovely and cozy but peri me thinks it’s a bleeping oven

I am so depressed. Partner had a go at me as I didn't want to go to family members on Monday, the heat was making me feel awful as as well as peri, I'm on SSRI'S that make it harder in the heat. I was made to go, hour drive there and back in a car with no air con as it's broken. Yesterday he said he can't stand the thought of having to spend the rest of his life with a hormonal menopausal miserable woman whose default emotion is depressed, also that he feels sorry for our daughter being an only child, and it's my fault as I'm too past it to give her a sibling!
I just feel old, haggard and don't recognise myself anymore 😞
Oh I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I wish there was a way you could leave him, you really need to get away from him for your own wellbeing. You deserve so much more and better than to be treated this way! Life will always get better, no storm lasts forever. I think you’d feel better about yourself once you’re away from his constant nasty remarks, it’s abuse, and negativity breeds negativity. You’re never going to feel better about yourself while he’s constantly putting you down

Thank you. I am useless on my own though unfortunately due to a variety of mental health issues caused by abuse throughout my life

Yet more abuse from him tonight. He went to sleep as soon as he got home. I went to lock up the house to go to bed, couldn't find the keys anywhere so woke him to ask him where they are. He went mad.
He just said "i really wish you hadn't woke me!! I feel really really angry now, I need to calm down!! How dare you wake me up!! You don't understand, I'm healing from the day, from a long hard stressful day, i need to be left alone. Just don't bleeping talk to me, stay out of my sight "!!
😞

What an abusive b! There are support systems in place for you, please find the courage to leave, go to a refuge centre, you’ll get the support you need I promise you. You sound like you’re so down so the only way from here is up. Your life could be so much more than it is now

You’ll likely be better on your own than you could dream of. Living through awful life experiences will have equipped you well (horrible as they must have been to go through), you must be so resilient to have come this far and you can absolutely make a life for yourself away from abuse. You can’t do it alone but there is support out there. And here.
Hugs x

He sounds like a horrible b. He does know it's his choice to stay with you doesn't he? If its so awful he can leave.
You genuinely need to look into leaving him. He's not making you happy at all. And your daughter is witnessing appalling misogyny.

I've told him he's misogynistic and he says he's not, but he clearly is. The horrible things he says, he's said so many awful sexist things many times.

He apologised to me this morning and said his hay fever is making him like it.
Knew it wouldn't last. He's come home early and is being horrible again. I said the things he says are abusive and he said "it's abusive to wake someone up when they're sleeping"! I asked him if he had watched something I sent him the other day about peri menopause, he said "no I'm not watching that, not interested, bloody women, always have to have an excuse to be a pain in the a! I know everything there is to know about the bloody menopause, i have to put up with you every day "!

So he can excuse his behaviour with hay fever symptoms, but you can't have peri menopausal symptoms, which have sent your hormones haywire for who knows how long? He's a b.

Can I ask, what are you getting out of this relationship? What is he bringing to the table? Because it honestly doesn't sound like it's worth it 😪

You're right. Nothing anymore. I can't think of any good points about him anymore 😞
He told our daughter when he got home, he'd play a game with her later, now he said no, he's too tired.
My daughter came up to me and said daddy broke his promise, he won't play with me, he lied again.
She asked me to go and ask him, I've had to say no as he's nasty when he's tired, I'm actually scared to say anything to him
You need to go to some support services for advice, and maybe the Council to see if you qualify for help with housing and benefits. You need a plan, and then a good time to put it into action. Start trying to sort your finances and documentation and collect your precious items so you can go when you're ready without much delay.
