Does just one hip hurt? My right hip hurts but feels muscular like a burning feeling
For me, it's my left hip. I also feel the constipation affects it and makes it worse. When it comes to exercise, both ache, but it's worse on the left.

Left hip for me too at times. I find circular hip opening exercises really help. I stand holding on to something and do 40 or 50. The pain has usually gone the next day or I'll repeat again

Left hip for me too, is worse if I don’t move about. Peri meant I didn’t have any motivation to move too. I know I’m a broken record but HRT helped my motivation and I’m moving more and aching less

Im like a rotisserie chicken in bed, hips and thighs hurt/burn/throb so I change sides, then have to change again, and again…allll night!
That’s gone on for about 4 years now and im sick of it.
Happens when im sat on the sofa too, just have to get on with it, even with HRT it hasn’t settled whatsoever.

I had frozen shoulder for months & very bad insomnia. Within 3 weeks of going on patches I had no joint pain & sleep was better.
Do you mean HRT patches?

I'm the same, I probably wake up half a dozen times every night.

I keep getting the urge to stretch my hip - like one of the best releases is sitting down and crossing my left ankle over my right knee, and then pressing down on my left knee - stretching out my inner thigh and widening my hip.

I'd described mine as an intermittent dull ache crossed with an irritated nerve.

Left hip pain here. Woke up in loads of pain last night and had terrible sleep. I’ve got hrt so that clearly isn’t helping.

Yoga helps my aching old body ( I’m 44 Ffs) also evening primrose oil is helping too, take a while to kick in but I don’t get achy joints and restless legs as much now.

I love doing a bit of yoga (just basic level) and started doing a bit more, which I felt good on. But this past month or so, even that has been a struggle. Each time I do it, it feels like I haven't done I in about six months.

Did 20 mins this evening and have been fit for nothing since.

Anyone following any particular diet/healthy eating regime?
I'm currently doing a mix. I have the usual menopause symptoms but really struggle with the brain fog, poor sleep and fatigue. Also was told by specialist I had a lot of inflammation which made me really ill.
I was recommended a book for the inflammation which frankly shocked me and I've only read a small part of it so far.
I tried to think logically about it to stop panic setting in, i.e. think back to a time you felt the best ever and what were you doing. 🤔
I immediately thought back to 20 years ago when I was curious about a detox diet there was a lot of press on. It was for 28 days and by 21 days I was being asked what I'd done to my face and I felt amazing - full of energy, brain clear as a bell and I was sporting a peaches and cream complexion.
So I've decided to start on my symptoms using that. I've actually read some of the blurb in the book and it says you can continue on after the 28 days but keeping to the principles at least 75% of the time which seems doable to me. I note the mention of your taste buds changing so you can really taste what's in food. I remember that happened to me I had a terrible craving for courgettes of all things 😁
Anyway I'm waffling on as per usual 🙄🤭
What I wanted to ask is how can you tell if a melon is ripe? And how can you ripen an avocado? - I bought one for a salad and a week later it's still hard 🤷
ETA I forgot "the mix" - I'm also doing the live yoghurt and apple juice first thing in the morning as that had a tremendous impact on me in the past when I was very ill years ago.
I'm about 5 days into the new regime so far and crossing fingers it works again. A side effect last time was losing weight which would be a handy perk if that happens again.

Oooh, what's the name of the book?????

I always assume melons are ripe when I buy them and they always seem OK. Some avos never seem to get to the right stage and stay like bricks. Same with mangos. Bananas always turn fruit quickly so the same sort of principle could be true with avos - put them near a banana and it might do the trick.

Oh! I'll try it with the banana trick. I put it in with the apples but nothing seems to be happening.
I used to buy a part of a cut up melon but they don't seem to do that any more and once you cut into a melon you're committed to eating it.
I'm a bit embarrassed to mention the detox book as I get a load of abuse when I do.
The plan was devised by Ko Chohan but there's no mention of her name on the front. You have to turn to the back cover for that.
It's fronted by Carol Vorderman so you think it's all her and she's pushing the weight loss (2 dress sizes).
I've just bought the book secondhand for £2 odd. You can't seem to buy it new any more.
I'll screenshot it......but don't come for me I'm only detailing my experience on it. I don't need the abuse about Carol Vorderman!!!
