Hi all, can anyone tell me the guidelines for prescribing HRT for under 45's in Scotland, because I though there was some leeway with not having to wait till you were over that age? I've been begging my docs for HRT for two years, been in peri probably about 4/5, yet I've been told no repeatedly. I had one blood test a year ago which came back ok, so at my last appointment last week I told them I'd be making an appointment for the day I turn 45 to get it. Bloody sick of this, so anxious I could jump out a window, they referred me to mental health services for that who palmed me off completely (despite being under an immense amount of stress due to childs illness, suffering from, c-ptsd, and having had serious mental health issues which I was hospitalised for when I was younger). I've horrific cramp for days then period lasts half a day (if that, i get it sometimes one a month, sometimes every two weeks, sometumes every six weeks, just whenever it feels it), hot flushes which make me feel im going to simultaneously vomit and pass out i get so warm, zero *ahem* "drive", memory going, I could go on and on but you guys obviously know exactly where I'm coming from. I think this having to wait till you're 45 is shocking, my OH said, oh, it's only 7 months away, I nearly lost the nut with him lol he's not the one suffering this garbage
Has anyone here gotten it under 45 on the NHS with a "normal" blood test? I was going to go private for it a year ago but needed the money as my child's been unwell, I'm thinking of living on toast and beans if it means I can feel even partially normal again. I'm so sorry to everyone here who is suffering too, I know many have said this in the past but if it were men going through it there'd be far more treatment options. *Sigh*.
