I went from an E to F cup during the last year when I was on HRT. Since stopping the HRT then I lost the weight I’d put on it but the boobs have remained the same. Primrose oil helps with the pain and discomfort but I still get this full heavy feeling in the days before a period. I’ve got no answer and pray they’d settle down and stop growing. 😩
I'm seriously considering a reduction if they get any bigger. I'm a size 8 so i can't really drop that much more weight 😫

Can anyone recommend something that helps to keep you on an emotional keel? I find myself quick to get irritated these days and have little patience. I'm in the early stages of peri menopause and recently started taking vitamin D, a multi vitamin, iron and evening primrose oil. Thanks

I'm not saying this will help anyone else but walking makes a big difference for me. A personally rubbish few months, and of course the weather, got me out of the habit of going but I'm back into it now. My mood has improved and I'm able to focus a little better - something I'm really struggling with. Sleep is definitely better too

I second exercise, boring but not preachy. I need some hiit to keep my emotional state/anxiety ticking. It’s like a release. So I do spin but I like exercise and I also do yoga, resistance training and walking. I think it’s important to move our bodies but in ways that we enjoy. Nutrition and what we eat plays a part too.

I’m also a big advocate for walking outside and in nature when possible, the day light and nature noises/ sights annd smells are so soothing.

I take kalms night for my sleep which seem to help keep me asleep but not all the time. Insomnia still wins sometimes. I did get headaches so only take them 3/4 times a week.

I’ve been on evening primrose oil for a couple of months alongside Menopace and vit d and I really think that’s helped some of the joint aches and other pains. I try and get other things from what I eat.

Getting outside is massively important and can really help reset our body clock if we’re in natural light, makes so much difference over time and it’s time away from screen too which is important

This exactly! I'm so glad the weather had improved. My works are my saviour.

Thanks. Whilst I do walk a fair bit, normally hit 10k steps on a work day due to commute, in the winter that's almost entirely in the dark 😬. The only daylight I get is through the windows at work. Think I need to make an effort to leave the building at lunchtime - I bring my lunch with me so it feels like a faff to head out for a walk but I shall make an effort to do so next week so I'm less grumpy 🙂

Melatonin only works in the dark. Not trying to teach you how to suck eggs but my sons sleep therapist told me and I never realised.

I take it at bedtime and it's dark in the bedroom.

It's nearly 1am and I am wide awake. I get to about 3 or 4 and then crash. Every night
Lack of sleep is just the worst. I will often manage to get to sleep but only for an hour or two at most then I will be tossing and turning all night. The occasional night I cannot get to sleep at all, it's just the worst feeling when you're so tired and don't know what to do with yourself.

Didn't know whether it was right to post here, but I feel comfy with you guys. But I got my wedding photos back yesterday. And I'm absolutely devastated. I just look.....old.
I'm 40 and obviously in peri from the symptoms I have and my mum having early menopause.....but god I just look haggard. Iv got a toddler which doesn't help atm, but my skin just looks loose and untoned and iv aged about 10 years in a short space of time. I feel so gutted that I look like this, its totally ruined the excitement of getting the photos back. The only softener for me is that we did it abroad with just me, my partner and my son. So no one saw me actually looking like that on the day other than them. But I just feel like I'm mourning I suppose, I feel like all my youth is now gone and I feel abit empty.
I don't know what I'm trying to say or why, but i just feel a massive loss and I'm really struggling with what this change is doing to me both emotionally and physically xxx

I bet you look lovely. AND, even if you didn't look as good as you can do be kind to yourself and remember you have a young child, that's a demanding time of life.

I'll bet you look great, because it was a happy event, you're in love and you and you had your dearest loved ones with you. Women are just their own worst critics, you are being too hard on yourself. But I can understand it because I've been there.

It's just so hard accepting you are changing. I just don't even look like myself anymore. I feel like iv lost a part of myself. I don't know how to explain. I just look tired, old and saggy. That's how i feel. And my emotions are everywhere too at the moment, I'm finding peri very hard I can't lie. I feel like I'm saying goodbye to myself xx

I feel the same but I’m in my 50’s, so it’s a a bit easier to handle but I can see how it would affect you been in your early 40’s but yes it’s hard to accept the changes ☹
