I would speak to your GP about the bladder issue. A friend of mine, at 51, had a very simple operation that resolved her problem

Second the speaking to your doc comment. Definitely worth investigating further xApologies for a TMI post and it’s taken me 4 or so days to get the courage to post this.
When running, I’ve always needed the loo on return but never urgently. This week, on my return, I needed it quite badly but thought i could say hello to the dog before going upstairs. Big mistake. I properly weed all over the kitchen floor. Like out of nowhere. I was mortified. I’ve not had kids, I’ve done Pilates so have done pelvic floor stuff. I’m normally fine with holding it in (done it at work for 5 hours etc). Is this our life now?

Period began yesterday too. So we are now up to number three in a month. duck this tit.
So your bladder issue is something to add to your diary of symptoms (if you're keeping one which I highly recommend)Apologies for a TMI post and it’s taken me 4 or so days to get the courage to post this.

Thank you for all your advice. I am going for a review of my pill in a couple of weeks and going to go armed with my tracker. Unfortunately I don’t think I can weigh at the moment. Years of eating issues (pretty tit again at the moment) means that if I start having to do that, there’s more I have to contend with. This (as in from 13/12 to 13/1) month has been awful in terms of symptoms and periods so who knows. So your

I found that there were periods where if I needed to pee, I needed to pee immediately but when I tracked it along with everything else, there were pointers to when it would happen, namely a day or 2 after my weight shot up (another thing I did was weigh myself every day)
The rest of the time my bladder would be completely normal so definitely not a pelvic floor issue more a delayed signal from my bladder to my brain so I missed the lead up to wanting the toilet.
Still worth seeing a Dr but because so little research has been done on the role of hormones a lot of issues during peri are brushed off.
It’s taken them long enough to take VAT off period pants. Who knows how long they will take to delay on HRT being free? I’m about to go on a duck off rant but I’ll save it for elsewhere. On looking for something else, I’ve just seen the NHS do a prepayment prescription certificate for HRT. If you are prescribed this regularly it would work out a huge saving, could be worth taking a look.
*even though I think it should be free

oh I get it, according to many Drs we’re depressed aren’t we, not in peri menopauseIt’s taken them long enough to take VAT off period pants. Who knows how long they will take to delay on HRT being free? I’m about to go on a duck off rant but I’ll save it for elsewhere.
I'm just waiting for my hormone results to come back to confirm menopause but my doctor did say that my progesterone only pill will be masking symptomsThank you for all your advice. I’m wondering if my progesterone pill is hiding stuff and if I wasn’t on it, things would be worse. I wish I understood more.
I’ve come off my pill. My period’s been tit this week and if I’m going in all guns blazing I need to be hormone free to see what my body is actually doing. I know there’s a potential for it to get worse but… I need some control.I'm just waiting for my hormone results to come back to confirm menopause but my doctor did say that my progesterone only pill will be masking symptoms
Can you get them in the UK please or are they prescription only?Regarding sleeplessness, I have started taking melatonin tablets (thanks to the person who recommended them on here!).
Last night I slept 10 hours from 8pm-6am, did wake briefly for 2 wee breaks; but straight back to sleep.
Need to take them now 1-2 hours before bedtime, and not early evening, like I did....
Of course, the fact I am doing Dry January is probably helping!
Order from the USA. Have a look at piping rock, I always order from them. Don’t order more than two bottles though or it might attract import. I take a 5mg dose but DH prefers a 3mg. Maybe start lower and increase if needed? Can you get them in the UK please or are they prescription only?
Yes I bought 2 bottles on piping rock, no prescription required. Can you get them in the UK please or are they prescription only?
I ordered some too after seeing them recommended on here because I am really struggling with lack of sleep and finding it so hard to function. I might sleep for two to three hours, then wake up and be awake for several hours, maybe eventually doze off for another hour then it's time to get up. I know I should get up if I'm awake during the night but I just don't have the energy to.Regarding sleeplessness, I have started taking melatonin tablets (thanks to the person who recommended them on here!).

Do you swallow the tablet whole with a drink or do you let it dissolve on your tongue?Order from the USA. Have a look at piping rock, I always order from them. Swallow whole about half an hour before bed.Do you swallow the tablet whole with a drink or do you let it dissolve on your tongue?
Mine arrived yesterday and I took the first one last night. I dozed off and slept for about an hour, after that I was awake and tossing and turning all night. I did sleep, but it was very broken sleep. And I'm now awake at silly o'clock...![]()
Thanks for replying. When it said quick dissolve I thought it meant to let it dissolve on the tongue, but it tasted like those old antacid tablets from years ago...it dissolved so far until I couldn't stand the taste lol then I swallowed the rest. I ordered the 5mg size, I was impressed with how quickly they arrived, eight days from order to delivery.Swallow whole about half an hour before bed.
What dose did you go for? Try again tonight and see how you go but if you need a little more you can quarter another tablet until you find the amount that suits.
