Yeah i did go to the GP before xmas about mirtazapine and his response was i could just stop taking them altogether if i wanted to! This was the same doctor, at the same appointment who was going to prescribe me pregabalin until i told him i didnt think it was a good idea! And he knows my history and my substance misuse!
Dont get me wrong i struggled with the weight gain and it had such a negative impact on my mental health, but they have really helped my sleep. So know im just trying to eat abit better and do more exercise
Shocking! I was taking a drug to prevent migraines and it helped with sleep, sadly it didn't work so I came off it. Off it. It did work very well so I just figured for a bit I’d rather be large than unhappy
I get serious hangover from melatonin at the lowest dose. I took zopiclone and that left me in a fog for a couple of days.
We used to have codiene pain killers over-the-counter in Canada, but they were switched to behind the counter with no prescription needed. This is so pharmacists can monitor the sales. They said they were going to move it to prescription only at some point. I blame the Americans hopping the border to get access.
All the opiate drugs have morphine in common, which comes from the poppy plant, same as heroin. For the love of God or anything else STAY THE duck AWAY FROM FENTANYL! Unless in a surgical setting, no one has any need for that stuff.

Jesus! The times of being able to rely on any doctor seem to be long gone. You really have to take ownership of your health theses days and if your gut tells you something, you follow it. I had a family member with a serious pain issue and after going to several doctors, pain clinics and the like, I played Dr. Google and found out the problem. Medicine's loss I guess.
There's an ear piercing you can have that helps with migraines. When I've been having my ears done, there's been people in the body piercing place getting these done. Perhaps check it out.X

Is that why I've become so much bigger in the last few years? I went from being quite slim to being quite large.
To be fair to her, celeb culture is full of this type of thing. The 'Oh I've just had a baby but my stomach is completely flat because of breastfeeding/ running after the kids and the Oh, I can eat what I like, I just cant put on weight, the 'healthy eating' gurus, all of them. They are all selling a load of bull to the public most of the time.

Yes me too. I have gone from 8 stone to 10 stone, and i know im not overweight, but im only 5ft 2 and ive always been petite and slim. So for me i really really struggled with going from petite to average. But i have an unhealthy relationship with food, body dysmorphia etc so that explains why i struggle with the change to my body. Im my own worst enemy really because everyone tells me i look so much better and more healthy but i feel absolutely disgusting. Also, when i look at others i dont even find the really slim girls attractive! I find it so much more attractive when people have curves, and yet sadly i cant recognise that in myself.
I try to take my mirtazapine as late as possible now, i was going through the stage of taking it about 7/8pm and i would then binge on all sorts. I just need to be mindful now especially if i need to wake up early otherwise i feel so groggy.
Yeah you are at your early stages of recovery so just be kind to yourself. If the mirtazapine is working especially with sleep then stay on it. You can always lose weight or what have you later down the line. I’ve put on 3 stone by just being clean, can’t stop eating. I always found it striking following her on instagram, that she was so impossibly tiny, yet her babies were really big, almost looking overweight. she must have cooked for them, yet never eaten herself at all, so sad
I knew someone who was anorexic when she was a teen, and she would really overfeed her kids because she said they had really big appetites. It was things like ordering an entire large pizza for her 7 year old. I think it may be psychological.I always found it striking following her on instagram, that she was so impossibly tiny, yet her babies were really big, almost looking overweight. she must have cooked for them, yet never eaten herself at all, so sad
It says a lot that Peaches was happy for a “friend” to feed a story to the tabloids that she was addicted to diet pills. The truth was far worse.
When I was suffering with anorexia I spent a lot of time cooking and baking but never actually ate any of it, I just fed my family and friends. It was a way of disguising it, people assume you’re okay and must be eating it yourself too if you’ve prepared the stuff.
i used to have a best friend who had her medication stolen by her sister who was a bit of a druggy, so the best friend swapped the benzos for mirtazipine and the sister freaked out a few weeks later because the mirtazipine had made her gain weight 
this thread is making me remember things i thought i’d forgotten! but this conversation has been extremely illuminating and it’s been humbling to hear how people have struggled and recovered in their own lives. it’s also given me more insight of poor peaches!!!
