I’d heard that he was surrounded by photos of Paula as well. If it’s not true then, it must have been something she said in one of the interviews she did after he died.

The head injury story doesn’t make much sense especially him refusing any treatment for it.
One of my best friends works on a ward full of people with head injuries, she has said before many of them aren’t aware they have a problem so denial is common

where have you heard that from?

here’s the inquest ruling;

“It has been suggested that the death resulted from an act of auto eroticism. However, there is no forensic or other evidence to substantiate this suggestion. I therefore, discount that manner of death.”

the inquest specifically ruled erotic asphyxiation out having specifically considered it. There was zero mention of any photos of Paula or anyone else, or indeed any evidence at all that there was anything erotic about it. Had there been photographs this would’ve been strong evidence to either a suicide or erotic asphyxiation, and given the absence of their mention I think it’s safe to assume that it’s because there wasn’t any.

That was pure spiel and conjecture put put out by Paula herself, for reasons known only to her. We can only make some good guesses and speculate as to why she would’ve wanted to deny the realities of Michael’s death.

The coroner also considered the moments and events leading to Michael’s death, which are strongly suggestive that he was in an erratic, emotional and depressive state.
I think it was mentioned on the autopsy show on MH that he had pictures of PY around him

It was. He’s obviously been brooding over them as he got the call to say Paula couldn’t come out to
join him with the kids. I’m not sure i believe some of the reports of people saying he was going to leave her. He was obviously destroyed at the news that he couldn’t come out. Doesn’t sound like the actions of someone who didn’t love her, although it was maybe more about not being able to see his daughter.

If they’re on a ward they’re not refusing treatment though!

My point was Helena saw him pass out with blood coming out of his mouth and ear and she didn’t advise him he needed treatment nor when his personality changed? It doesn’t make sense he covered it up and didn’t want anyone to know.

This - I’m not trying to blame Helena but surely in such a bad injury you would call an ambulance? Why didn’t any bystanders either?

Exactly and didn’t he press charges against the taxi driver?

I just understand why it was covered up as it’s nothing to be ashamed of. However, a drug related brain injury would be.

Was he shy about his drug use then? Or kids related (I.e. a bad look)?

I think the bike brain injury is pretty well established isn’t it?

Not necessarily choosing to get treatment, in several cases she mentioned the patient was very resistant to treatment as they didn’t think they had a problem. She said they were often quite abuse to the staff and their relatives were constantly apologising and saying they weren’t normally like that, however the patient didn’t see that change at all. Brain injuries are obviously very complex and individual so there’s many types of normal and very little can be discounted

The photos of her is interesting. Yes he could've been brooding over them prior to taking his life.
In an interview afterwards Paula took it that he was masturbating using them before his 'accident'.
Two different interpretations of the same set of events.

I don't think I've actually seen anywhere say he was surrounded by photos of Paula except Paula herself. I didn't see anything about it in the full autopsy report which can easily be found online and is very detailed in other areas about the condition in which he was found.

Paula couldn't cope with the notion that Michael would leave her. She rewrote history as a desperate, grieving woman. It's unfortunate that her theory was so latched onto, to the point where it turned his death into a punchline.

Siobhan Fahey was another one fond of slapping her child like that.
OMG can we have more tea about the Fahey sisters? I came briefly into their orbit when sleeping with one of their friends, and would be keen to know gossip about them.

He could have had a hand shandy, it didn’t cheer him up, had a bad petit mort and then decided to end it all.

Probably been shared before but interesting: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/ev...-turned-friend-Michael-Hutchence-monster.html

So MH did go to the hospital after the injury but was discharged (?) while still very sick, and was aggressive when Helena tried to make him go back for treatment.
I've mentioned this before her so won't go into details again, but my ex husband had a car crash and had a brain injury requiring 6 hour surgery around the same time as Micheal Hutchence's accident - early 90's.
In my experience back then there was very little understanding on aftercare or how the victim's personality can change beyond recognition. After surgery we had no advice, help or warning my husband might be a different person. And he had no aftercare or counselling. None.
So I'm really not surprised about MH's lack of treatment or aftercare. Or that he or Helena even thought help could or should be sought after the actual event. The care was so basic not even that long ago really.

and anyone who punches someone to the point they are floored and concussed deserves to be in prison…

I thought Michael was surrounded by photos of Paula when he was found which she argued as evidence of autoerotic asphyxiation rather than suicidal intent.
I had a watch of the documentary.

according to it, he was waiting in his hotel room with his ex (Kim) and her then boyfriend, waiting for news of the hearing. They were drinking and chatting and he was showing pictures of Paula and the girls, because he was looking forward to seeing them again. The slant of the documentary was that amidst deteriorating mental health, Michael saw the girls (all of them) as a beacon of hope and a lifeline. Not Paula - the girls.

im not sure where these photos were found but they were definitely NOT in the pornographic category and do not support any erotic asphyxiation theory.

Im watching Faking it on Gary Glitter.
He was interviewed by PY on the bed and she asked him if his visitors to his house were very young. She mentioned young girls again.
