The criticism is because in most countries, people think trading humans is wrong. It's that basic.
Buying people, buying body parts is wrong.
What a ridiculous statement.
Surrogacy is an option for people/couples who often cannot carry a child the traditional way.

As long as the surrogate is happy and not being forced into anything - it is a beautiful and fulfilling option.

It's not though is it. It's more like saying why are rich people never prostitutes? Why don't millionaires ever get discovered working as slaves for other rich people?
There are some incredibly wealthy sex workers, and that is why they’re so wealthy.

I have not paid a lot of attention to Paris as of late, she seemed to fade away from the limelight. I see she has a new documentary on Youtube where she talks about the abuse she suffered. I am going to watch it today. Anyone else?
Same as you. Watched it yesterday. Really good and so insightful. I won’t spoil it for you, just totally recommend it.

A study published in The Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry found that children born through reproductive donation have adjustment scores within the normal range, but children born via surrogacy may experience higher levels of adjustment difficulties compared to those conceived through gamete donation.
Interesting.

Did you also read the part where it states -

'children who were conceived by surrogacy or egg donation would experience higher levels of mutuality and maternal positivity, and lower levels of maternal negativity, than naturally conceived children.'

And in the USA (where most of these commercial surrogacy arrangements take place) that rate is 24 in 100,000 one of the highest rates in the world. Which is terrible, and even worse if they die because they were carrying a baby because someone else really really wanted one (but not enough to do the hard work themselves obviously).
I think this is unfair - What about the women who cannot carry babies? It's not that they are choosing not to do 'the hard work themselves' - they are physically unable to.

And there are no checks or balances on who can commission a surrogate. All you need is enough money. So Jane, who is infertile and desperate for a baby and will be a wonderful mother can do it. And so can John - who likes to have sex with children (which has happened btw - more than once).
Not sure what you mean here - sorry.

It's an exploitative, cruel practice (which is why it's illegal in most countries) and it should be outlawed everywhere. For the sake of the babies who should be the most important person in the equation - but never are.
But this is just your opinion. Just because you deem something as exploitative, doesn't mean it is fact.[/QUOTE]

Well said

I just hate this whole notion that every aspect of a females body can be up for sale for the right price…

I know men also can be purchased in ways (sperm/escort etc), but its mainly the women who are up for sale all the time.

I actually have no issue with surrogacy. I have an issue with it becoming a rich person's trend. A baby being parted from its mother who its shared a body with for 9 months for vanity or because the mother likely didn't wanna give up the drugs? This is Hollywood guys not your mate from work.

If she had issues... Good on her, but we gonna say Kim K (her bestie who put her in touch with the team that sorted this) and Khloe K were in the same boat? All of Elon Musks partners? I think Cameron Diaz had one last year but she's in her 50's and you know what good on her cos that is surrogacy was required kinda terrority
Cameron Diaz had her child in 2019, so would have been around 46. It doesn’t make her much older than Paris considering she’s 42 next month.

---

No decent person would create a baby with the intention of taking it away from all it has ever known. The baby is used to the smell and sound of the woman that carried it. The baby will suffer emotional trauma from that (even if people prefer to bury their heads in the sand and deny this).

Wonder why loads of rich women aren’t volunteering to be surrogates.

A woman might choose to be a prostitute but I’d still think any man using her was vile. Same goes for the women paying for another woman’s body for “surrogacy”.
I’m curious for your thoughts then on women who have health problems and therefore can’t carry a baby? These are women that can produce eggs, but they can’t carry a baby due to risks to their own or the baby’s health.

This just came up on insta and I wondered if it was true. Is she actually saying everything has been an act for all these years? I don’t understand why she’d need to do that…

Also, isn’t it illegal to record someone without their knowledge? Particularly since she was setting up those spy cameras in the bedroom where the person being secretly watched is at their most vulnerable 🤢.
Not really. You just can’t use illegally obtained recordings in a court of law- which she isn’t. I suppose there could be a voyeurism argument but it’s her own house and she’s not intending to do anything but spy on him

I’ll be surprised if she posts any more pictures of her son after the comments she’s getting 😬
You do have to admit, his head does seem quite large and in previous pictures his head was incredibly flat.
I understand the cruel comments making her not want to post anymore, but the genuine concerned comments are people who are genuinely concerned for his health.
If anything, if there was something wrong, her bringing it to light would be a wondrous & helpful thing.
He's a cutie, I hope there is nothing wrong 💓

What is the age difference between the kids? This is just like what chrissy riegan has done although she carried on and had a surrogate pregnant alongside her so the babies are super close in age

Is it strange that the 20 eggs they got to freeze were all boys? Like 20 of them seems like a decent amount? No girls in 20 seems odd?
Yes I thought this too.

I assumed she would want at least one girl.

But I wonder if it’s because of the abuse she has gone through and she feels it’s safer out there for boys.

There aren't because they are conceiving naturally. And sometimes that goes very very wrong for the child.

People using surrogates aren't conceiving naturally. They are buying a baby from someone else. The very least that baby deserves is some kind of check that the person buying them isn't likely to be a danger to them.

Organisations do perform checks if arrangements are made through them. Yes this doesn’t extend for private arrangements, but some checks do exist.

He definitely has a larger head than normal. I’ve not seen many concerned posts, just lots of horrible ones. I did only scroll a small amount though
