Only 10 minutes into today's so far but finally Rob has acknowledged that the mental load actually exists for the vast majority of us, as two working parents or single parent families who don't have someone at home every day!

What's the point of Rob setting up a separate Instagram account for his gym / football top selfies if he's just going to repost every single one onto his actual Instagram as well?

Seems pointless to me. But I'm maybe missing something.

I too have found Rob a little annoying over the last few weeks, he is just constantly interrupting and talking over Josh who can barely get through a sentence at the moment! The reading of the daily mail comments was particularly annoying (the first few were funny but then he just kept on and on!) and I remember eye rolling at his constant stories about abandoning his family to go to the euros. The thing with Rob is that instead of just letting things go he doubles down on his point and just completely over does it. If he was totally secure in his decision to go to the euros in the middle of his family holiday then none of the abandonment stuff would have bothered him but it clearly touched a nerve.
Josh and rose always seem to be ill! Also maybe Josh needs to hire someone to plan his diary because he always seems to have these last minute diary clashes. He’s clearly gone too hard at these new material gigs because he said himself he’s already got an hour of material and he wasn’t meant to be going on tour until next autumn!

I’m finding Rob a bit annoying recently - he talks all over Josh and whereas Josh is still politely laughing at and encouraging all Rob’s jokes, I can’t hear Rob doing the same. I wonder if it’s all going to Rob’s head (which would be understandable).
He's always been bad at interrupting but the last few weeks whenever josh starts telling a story, rob just goes on and on and then josh doesn't bother picking the story back up.

If you still read here Lou, can you tell your husband that as much as we like hearing what he's been up to, it'd also be nice to hear from the other one as well.

I liked the Jason Bell episode he seems really nice!
He seems like a really nice guy but very worthy and dare I say a little dull? I’ve just looked in my app and realised I haven’t listened to the last 20 minutes of it. As it’s usually my top podcast that’s really rare for me.
I think it’s a problem with some of the sports people they have on. They’re either really worthy and dull; or totally self absorbed and dull (*cough* boxers *cough*). I’d rather listen to just Rob and Josh than any more sports people to be honest.

What was probably missing from today's was the explanation that Luisas husband is a multimillionaire, so she is able to live this lifestyle. Let's also not forgot Rob and Josh are celebrities so aren't meant to be 'just like us'. It's just entertainment afterall.

I actually enjoyed the episode, I don’t normally listen to the ones I don’t know but he was good. Also loved the long intro from Rob and Josh

Just catching up with yesterday’s episode. I know they are not famous but I think an episode with Alex Brookers parents would be really interesting!

I am 6 years older than Miquita and when she was on TV loads she annoyed the tits off me. A bit like the try-hard Year 7 kid when you're in Sixth Form, desperate to make sure everyone knows how cool they are but nobody actually cares.

Having seen her on Celeb Gogglebox and a few other things with her mum, I actually warmed to her. I love Andi on the chef things I've seen her do and in interviews, she's really interesting to listen to.

Then I've recently seen a few tiktoks of Miquita & Lily Allen (who I generally don't mind, but who can be a tad annoying at times) promoting their new podcast and it's had me transported back to the world-weary Sixth Former again 😂

So I listened to this week's pod with some trepidation but ended up really enjoying it, they're a great combination when interviewed and they really gelled with Rob and Josh. A nice surprise.

I liked this bit
“However as parents, especially as mums, we have got to be allowed to say that some of it is shit without feeling terrible about it. I love my children more than anything in the world, but sometimes l'm bored out of my eyeballs. Or so frustrated that I could scream expletives into the wind for a solid hour. Sometimes it can be a real mental battle to find the worth in what you're doing in the moment.”
At least she admitted that it was whiney I suppose. I really enjoyed her breastfeeding post she did too though.

Started Friday’s episode furious with Al Murray for eating a biscuit whilst talking on a podcast, and ended it donating to the charity founded in honour of his nephew!

I can see both points really.
For most mothers, the reason they aren’t flitting off on weekends away with their friends or whatever isn’t purely because they have to ‘ask for permission’
They have to factor in the financial aspect, and (I’m not making this non working vs working AT ALL) using annual leave etc. Both sets of parents do seem very on hand to help out - if all that was standing between me and some time to myself was simply asking I can’t say I’d be too upset.
She has a certain level of financial freedom, which does buy more ‘me time’ . Her days don’t have to be full of chores between school drop off and pick up, they could have a cleaner in a few times a week.
from the podcast Rob does seem to be involved in the morning rush, and then school drop offs/pick ups. I know plenty of mothers (myself included) whose partner is out of the house by 7am, leaving it all in their hands.
He doesn’t keep regular work hours, so on a weekly basis is probably more hands on than most dads are able to be.
She will have weeks during the year when he is working away and it all falls to her. Rob has said before that they always make sure that she gets time to do her own thing once he’s back though.
However, Lou is absolutely free to feel how she feels, and struggle with what she struggles with.
Some people are able to embrace the monotony of day to day parenting and running of the house. Others struggle. I wonder if her health gets to the point where she could take on a tutoring role or similar, she may feel more fulfilled.

Rob is really starting to grate on me now. I've always been mildly annoyed with how he has to get his story out exactly how he's planned it in his head but when Josh is talking will constantly interrupt him. Now Josh is calling him out on it I'm finding it even more annoying.

I do find it funny how Rob tells stories in a way that makes it sound like he thinks he's the first person to have ever done that thing like sausage rolls with the kids 🤣
