Finding Rob quite disingenuous at the moment. “The kids have had six weeks off” - his children are at private school. They’ve had 8. He should come out and say it and be honest imo and own that privilege. That’s why they were out in Halkidiki (read: Ikos/sani) mid July, before prices are peak holiday disgusting. Own it!

Just to clarify, I don’t think Rob is a bad guy at all, far from it. Just that once you notice some of his habits they can be jarring - I think most of it comes from a good place and the rest of it is simply the byproduct of being someone who likes performing/attention

I've not listened to the podcast but I have shared before how I get the impression having that child is a burden to them. The pair of them seem to post a lot of content from work/adult places or holidays/dates etc. Of course they needn't share their daughter or their family time but it just doesn't even feel like there is much time left for anyone but the two of them. I wish they had their own thread.

Wow harsh to say she fucks off all the time. Josh’s wife has been away Sun-Tues renovating a house in Devon. I follow the IG page she has done an amazing job its beautiful she clearly has a very good eye for interior design

Guess we’ll have to agree to disagree ! I think they are typical middle class arty couple east London names - which is exactly what Josh and Rose are so it fits ! My husband works at a private school and those are the types of names he has there , there aren’t many kids with similar names at my son’s state primary !There are 2 pearls at my kids school, definitely not middle class. And I used to work with a Cassius, again he was DEFINITELY not middle class
Edited to add. I think the context in which you first hear the name, makes you think that where it belongs. You first heard them as Josh’s kids. It if you heard a mother on a council estate shouting then you wouldn’t thing they were middle class. I have always thought pearl is a normal name as I have known a few growing up. Doesn’t seem remotely middle class to me.
I think people in general are pathetic about car journeys with kids, I'm always seeing people wanting to stop off somewhere to break up a 2 hr journey. Why?! Just get to where you're going!

I thought she was a good guest - obviously o don’t know her personally but from listening to this and her podcast etc, I do think she gets a bad press.
She got loads of shit for saying that motherhood damaged her career, but what she was saying seems yo be right….she couldn’t be the mother she wanted AND have the career she wanted, so she stuck with being the mum she wanted instead.

I'm not so sure the things Rob has said definitely means his kids are at a private school. My kids are in a normal state school and have instrument lessons, fencing lessons, opportunities to do kung fu, gardening, forest school, choir, dance clubs, amazing performances.... it's endless. Even if they are I don't care either way tbh, I don't think he's being disingenuous, you don't have to be 100% truthful about all things all the time especially if he is not asked outright... if I could afford it I would consider it too. So what. He has said that he's bringing up his children a different class to how he was. Also, private schools are more likely to be a bit more flexible with the kinds of opportunities and time off they might like to take advantage of, for eg his Australia tour next year when he's taking the kids out. If you are paying for school there's a bit more leeway there, in my (limited) experience.

I know they are doing Lou & Rose episodes soon, but I’d love them to do a Lou & Rose take over. Just the 2 of them doing what Rob and Josh would usually do. I think living with comedians they themselves must be pretty funny.
