I have a ring doorbell and it does really come in handy.
I think in the last thread i mentioned that there was someone who walks their dog in my street (who knows why cos it leads to a dead end and there’s grassy areas nearby). Before the doorbell I used to see it occasionally but then I got the doorbell and it turned out it was almost daily and sometimes he was even on my driveway late at night. Anyway this time I caught him letting his dog pee in my garden and went out to ask him not to. He tried to make out this was the first time he’d been on my garden so I disagreed and said that it happens regular and I’ve even seen him up my driveway. Which led to the whole “no I haven’t, where’s your proof” so I pointed at the doorbell and showed him the images. So far it’s not happened again, but if that situation had escalated I would have had evidence to send to the council.
Just quoting myself cos I missed off that he walks his dog across my garden daily (I’m not fussed if he walks it in the street daily 😂)

Does anyone else here feel that they are surrounded by weirdos (neighbours)?

We have lived here for 30 years and when we first moved in the neighbours were lovely, but it seems everyone has died/moved on and the whole street seems to be occupied with some very strange people. I honestly don’t want to go out the front of the house to encounter strangeness!

Yes they are ALL bloody weirdos if you ask me. Husband doesnt notice anything but I do, I see it all. Am I a nosey neighbour? Yea probably 😂

I could list all the weird things but we would be here all day. 1 neighbour goes for secret smokes. Shes probably in her 40s with a family and several times a day will scuttle out of the house for a smoke by our house. Quite often I hear her on the phone calling her husband every name under the sun
Hardly surprising, he seems like a right angry twit. ALWAYS red with rage and flooring his angry tosser car out the street 🙄

People that want to talk to you one minute and ignore you the next! I cannot tolerate that, either you speak to me or you don’t. I take parcels in for everyone and they speak to me when they collect the parcel and ignore me the next day - weirdos!! I avoid everyone it’s easier

This annoys me too, like it's not hard to say hello?! I don’t want a full blown conversation but at least be friendly!

Oh god dont. Im blind as a bat, if I see people out of context I don't know who they are! I stood in a queue next to my next door neighbour and ignored him... must have looked like a right twit but my brain just doesnt work with faces 😂

Well need some advice for the house I last messaged about. I was away for a week looking after a friends pet while she was on holiday and I’m back today and as soon as I pulled up in the car she stared me down from her top window with the curtains fully pulled back right until I was in my own house. They’ve also put up a huge sheet of a2 paper in the bottom window saying “WE HAVE VAPES FOR SALE” looks so scruffy and they’ve brought the street down since they moved in. Who will I tell about this? The council? They rent the house out and I know the landlords number as I enquired about moving there before I got this house

It is illegal to sell vapes to anyone under 18. There are also legal bits about how much nicotine etc.
This all sounds a bit dodgy to me, as if they are targeting the school age kids.
I would watch out and report to the police if you think they are breaking the law

I had issues with my next door neighbour and the people who live at the end of my garden since lockdown mainly letting their kids come into my garden and noise (kids screaming while they “play”) I privately rent both neighbours are council. The people down the bottom put up a fence over the weekend and it looks awful my side they did it themselves. I have complained about the trespassing to the council before and they didn’t care I even installed a security camera in my garden which the neighbours kicked off about invading their privacy (I’m only filming in my garden). The people down the bottom landing window looks into my living room and they are always starring into my house for long periods of time. I don’t even want to leave the house anymore because of the neighbours (I suffer with agoraphobia) the only place I felt safe outside was my garden I don’t even feel safe inside my house without being watched either. Sorry just venting but does anyone know what I can do about the fence I guess if I tried to put screening up to cover the mess they will say I’m damaging the fence.
Sorry quoting myself 😳

Got my own back today. Cow down the bottom was looking in my house on and off most of the day so I stuck my middle finger up at her this afternoon (petty I know) but I’ve had this for years. Funnily enough she left the window rather quickly and didn’t go upstairs for the rest of the day 😂 hopefully she’s got the message now!

you have to be clever how you report neighbours like this, try the Trading standards route as I assume it’s like selling tobacco or report them running a business to the council or the landlord, their insurance may not cover it being a renta.

My problem neighbours were an absolute nightmare yesterday and last night. They were making noises, banging furniture around all day, his voice was booming, they stunk the landing and stairwell out with weed. Then at 9pm they started having loud sex, then they'd finish and go back to dropping stuff on the floor and then they'd go back to having loud sex. This continued until gone midnight. This morning, they were up at 7am, banging furniture around again. Then they went quiet for most of the day but the sex has just started up again.

I'm just so sick of it. I could cope with a bit of noise but who wants to hear their neighbours shagging?

Our neighbour's adult son and his missus moved in when my kids were little; their room was next to my children's room and she was/is a squealer. Every time they shagged the kids would wake up and get scared because they thought she was being hurt. He'd start shouting "f*** yes" at the relevant moment while she'd be shrieking like she was being murdered. Never been so bloody glad as when all that humping made a baby and they had to share a bedroom with their baby so their sex life died.

Did his parents not object to the volume? I'd kick my son out for that 😂😂

I don't know but they lived there for years. I think the mum might be deaf/hard of hearing but the dad isn't. When my kids got old enough to understand it wasn't "silly games" they were mortified.
