He had his 80k car for sale at one point. They both went on a crazy spending spree when abielle took off in the beginning. Then they went too big too soon. Should have stayed small and nursed it thru covid and this next year, but costs, do more work yourself, smaller workshop and not let Ellie have the bank login details.
They’ll be fine but I do feel for Brett. It really was his baby, and as someone has said on here before Ellie wanted nothing to do with it at the start… made it clear it was Brett’s. Then as soon as it started taking off she suddenly was all in. So it’s sad to see Brett’s baby go under. It was probably better run as a one man band, without her coming in with her influencer & “marketing” spin on it. I’m sure they made decisions together but it seemed to turn to crap once she stopped working for her dad and started working for “their” business.
Maybe that’s why she’s craving ice blocks lol

I actually thought they had said or implied the warehouse was at the family’s property but I’m obviously wrong about that. It seemed close by anyway. I don’t remember her mentioning anything about needing to be out of it that part seems sudden too

Possibly the lease is about to expire and they are not keen to renew it. Which would be another reason to close the business if it wasn't doing well.

If a company is trading insolvent, they can be held liable for reckless or negligent trading. That would cause a business to close with immediate effect.

Abellie is a failure because of Brett and Ellie. They said themselves that the beeswax was a byproduct of the family business, they would of had contacts for packaging, fragrance, jars, stickers etc through Manuka south and they wasted it all away due to poor business decisions.
At least they don’t have a mortgage to worry aboutone pro to bludging off your parents in your 30s.
This has made me so irrationally mad at her, all the posts about it “our baby” and “our business” but a year or so ago it was 100% Brett’s ‘baby’. I definitely reckon the rebranding was the final straw in a long series of business mistakes.
This is probably quite a logical reason.
Are they deleting posts off their Instagram? Only 155 posts for a business that started back in 2019 seems very light!

It only takes one thing to go wrong in a small business to topple everything. Hate to say it but she is making a bit off being her job. Spending it as well! We all know Makaia was pretty open about how much she was getting for certain posts/companies and that was a few years back. So living with parents ( reduced rent) they can easily live off her salary. Howeve, feel for Brent especially if he was trying to make it on his own and prove something. He was never going to do it with her though.
Go watch the replay of the live, he seems pissed. I know he’s not comfortable in front of the camera like she is but sh seems jovial and he’s down, kinda made me feel bad for him.
