duck you, Channel 4. duck you.
Misleading headline......a production company has it in the early stages of development and has approached a number of companies with channel 4 being one of them. So they have not commissioned it or picked it up

Thanks for correcting the misinformation.

Fingers crossed no one will touch it.

Of course channel 4 are now denying the extent of their involvement. But even if that were the case, it’s shady of them to even entertain it:

“A sizzle reel was also used to pitch the concept to senior Channel 4 programming executives, who are believed to be keeping an open mind about the film. News of the project has been kept relatively under wraps at the broadcaster, where only senior execs have been privy to its existence. Asked about the film by Variety, one senior channel executive at a rival broadcaster said the project sounded “odd,” adding, “I’m not sure who’d show it?””

Here's Channel 4's very shady and spineless response to the criticism:

'The documentary is in the early stages of development and as part of this process, the production company has started approaching a number of potential participants.'

Here's what Channel 4 should have said:

The documentary is in the early stages of development and as part of this process, the production company has started approaching a number of potential participants, however Channel 4 have no intention of working with Noel Clarke either now or in the foreseeable future because we must protect our female employees and he can't be bleeping trusted around women.

How can you claim to be cancelled while a national broadcaster is supporting you to make a documentary? If you’re really cancelled, surely you should be leaving us all alone.

He will never be asked back for Doctor Who.

I thought it was odd that when David Tennant came back to do the audio dramas as the Doctor, all of the 10th Doctors companions and friends (Billie Piper, Catherine Tate, John Barrowman, Freema Agyeman, Camille Coudri, Jacqueline King and Bernard Cribbens) appeared with the exception of Liz Sladen (who had passed away) and Noel Clarke. This was before any of the allegations came out in the press.

Someone had obvious vetoed his inclusion (and I'm betting David Tennant and/or Billie Piper)......

There was a terribly sad story in The Sunday Times today relating to this - something has to change for sure.

The specific case referenced in the article is heartbreaking (trigger warning): https://archive.ph/7O1hf

Most relevant bits here for anyone not in a good place to click:

***

Only 1.3 per cent of the 63,136 reported rapes logged by police in England and Wales in the year to September 2021 resulted in a suspect being charged.

Police and victim support services believe the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has referred fewer cases to be charged because it wants to raise the historically low 1 per cent conviction rate from reported rapes.

Dame Vera Baird, victims’ commissioner for England and Wales, said: “In the last five years, the CPS took a decision to prosecute fewer rape cases in order to increase their conviction rate.

“What seems to happen now is prosecutors try to second guess whether a jury would like this case. You know, had she had a drink? Was she flirting? How long after the event did she report? Any myths like that mean a conviction is less likely. So, jurors aren’t getting the chance to decide for themselves, so we now prosecute about a third of the people we did. If the CPS don’t change their approach, the police can’t get past them.”

He’s vile, arrogant and a tit actor. He needs to make a film called “Prisonhood” and throw himself inside the slammer

To say it makes me furious that Noel is being treated like the sun shines out of his bum by the authorities is the biggest understatement ever. I might burst a blood vessel when he inevitably appears back in the media, no doubt playing the victim.
