I wonder what the temperature and weather was like, if it was as cold as what has been suggested here I would have though she would have worn a wooly hat and wore walking boots if the ground was hard rather than wellies which you'd more commonly wear if the ground was muddy or wet
I wear wellies all autumn/winter and lots of spring to walk the dog, whether frozen or muddy or wet 🤷🏼‍♀️

ETA especially the ankle Chelsea boot style that Nicola was wearing. I only wear ‘proper’ wellies when it’s really wet

I’ve looked at different pictures of the bench and the bit to the river and it doesn’t look like a steep drop, like if she slipped I can’t see how she would have went right in the river. To the edge and bit wet but right in. I just can’t see it.

Just going through this a bit more, I assume with the professional divers and Peters search team they have also looked at debris around the river bed, there was a case in Ealing (Alice Gross) where the suspect had weighed her body down with bricks and bicycle wheels in a bin bag.
A mother did this with her five year old son. Filled his rucksack and pockets with rocks. Devastating.

I don’t know why everyone is so convinced she is in that river. I’m not saying she isn’t, but how can you rule out every other option?
Like this man is saying, there’s a 10 minute window unaccounted for, just because no one see her getting taken or leaving doesn’t mean it didn’t happen,
He’s not wrong

The device he's got can see the river bed in great detail (every twig and stone according to him). I assume that's relatively true as it does seem a good bit of kit.

I've got a feeling there's a third party involved. I've not been wearing my smart watch for a while it has a feature where if you press multiple times it sends out SOS and tracking alerts to 999 and your emergency contacts. I've just been reminded to charge it and wear the bloody thing !!! I hope she is found soon safe and well , her poor family.

He’s honestly amazing this guy! He found a boy who fell into the river in my home town years ago

No, it wasn’t me that commented about what ‘should‘ happen.

That’s what frustrated me I think; I seem to have been pounced upon for sharing my view that I would be fine with my property being searched without a warrant in that scenario tbh, but I 100% get that the reality is different and the reasons for that 😊
For me, I was just genuinely surprised at your opinion, I didn’t mean to make you feel pounced on, but if you did then I am sorry for my part in that.

I’d be surprised if there was time for someone to:
Murder
Put body in bin bag
Weigh bin bag down
Secure ends
Dump in river

In under 20 minutes…

Although I’ve never tried to do even one of those things so I can’t be sure 😂
On the Idaho murders thread posters were questioning whether it was physically possible to stab 4 people to death in the space of 15 minutes and I really wanted to say “Well I can’t say I have relevant experience, but then again there are 4 other people in my household and they don’t half bleeping piss me off sometimes, so…hmmm….yeah I reckon I could finish em off in 2 mins each on some days 🔪 💅😈

Dark humour is my coping mechanism……..

For me, I was just genuinely surprised at your opinion, I didn’t mean to make you feel pounced on, but if you did then I am sorry for my part in that.
Ah no worries 🥰

He was another of the ‘specialists’ that said her dog would have jumped in because his would. He also talks about the Julia Jones who was attacked, which would likely take less time than abducting someone without being seen in broad daylight and with people coming and going and unlike Julia they haven’t found Nicola. Also he won’t be privy to what has been done by the police so far, so once again not a fair assessment from him in my opinion.

If I god forbid ever go missing and my family and friends are on the news emotionless and setting up GFM

I’d haunt them and I’d support you all slandering them on here.

I know the case you mean she was local to our town and the little boy went to the school down the road - heartbreaking I've thought about it a lot since this case started.

I personally think she’s in the river and I’m 80 percent sure it’s an accident but… because of the two cctv blind spots I agree there could be a sliver of doubt. She could therefore have been startled or menaced by someone or yes even attacked but I still think she wasn’t removed from that area. There’s just not time or risks to being seen IMO.
It’s possible in that ten mins she was backed into the water or she fought with someone I suppose? It’s a slim possibility.Something made her put the phone down pdq? All things considered I think she went after Willow and slipped…

I hope to god it's an accident but there seems to be quite a few stranger killings of women the past few years.
