If it was on the ground more plausible that she dropped it in a hasty movement .. I really don't know. Thinking of her family.
Oh of course, and rightfully so that is the headline across all platforms. But even on smaller news sites it’s on there as a smaller story. I had just assumed with the ongoing of this it would still remain live on there. In no way am I implying that this story is bigger than the sheer devastation that’s happened in Turkey/Syria today. Heartbreaking.
So true, High functioning depression in women should never be underestimated , we are skilled at not wanting to worry our parents or we put on a good face around friends when inside you could be desperate for change or help, doubt this is the case here but I guess on some level everything will be considered.

I’m way back with this thread today but he made me cross yesterday when he said the police investigation is a 'mess'. He may have worked with the police in the past but I doubt he’s privy to the inner workings of this investigation so he has NO evidence of that.
TBH he just appears as wanting his 5 minutes of fame or advertising his equipment for future work. If he’s so sure of it, he should get himself up to the river and beg the police to search and pay for it himself.

Not really. Just people making assumptions. There was a poster on the earlier thread saying Willow was found on an estate but when the article was linked here the report said 'the dog was found running loose off Garstang Road'.
I googled the area and Garstang Road is the main road going through the entire village with the river walk off of that. So 'off Garstang Road' may have been technically correct, but someone who doesn’t listen or read it properly interprets it incorrectly and quotes it here as fact.
Someone also said they’d seen an interview with a friend of Nicola's saying Willow was found running around an estate but couldn’t find the link when asked, probably because they’d heard incorrectly?
on this thread I think the majority of conflicting accounts have actually come from posters misinterpreting the news, be it tv or newspaper.
How are these two cases similar? I think most people agree that the circumstances surrounding Noah’s death are very odd and it’s arguable that him being a mixed-race Catholic boy contributed to the mismanagement of the case. No, the 10 minute window is that at 9.20am Nicola's phone was back at the bench. The police therefore have tracked her phone's movements and know when it was last moved near the bench.

Very odd the dog was off the lead. There are signs everywhere saying dogs must be kept on a lead. It's private land, used for livestock, not a public park.

It’s pretty standard for a campsite to have a rule that dogs must stay on lead, so that review isn’t surprising.
In terms of the wider area and fields where Nicola and Willow walked, unless there was livestock at the time I don’t think there’s an issue with a dog under close-control off-lead.
It’s normal for dogs to be off-lead, as long as there isn’t livestock. Totally different if for example there were sheep.
Where abouts are the signs?
Easy to trip over, maybe I'm just clumsy, but I'd find it restrictive for dog walking.
Easy to get dirty if crouching down to poo pick or get hold of the dog.
