She went to the UK again? She seems to be there more than in Tuscany. What is going on?

She's always downplayed how much time she actually spends in the UK.
I have to assume that something is going on with her father or brother. She sure makes sure she gets there often as opposed to Carlo having to ration his time in Positano. Very interesting that she is attempting another book...about what? She has written a book about the only thing I can think of that might be of interest that she knows about...falling for a guy in another country and assimilating into his culture. Having a child there etc. So what else? This Tuscan adventure? People are relocating and renovating in Tuscan all the time...not going to sell books.

She's doing that typical influencer vlogger thing where she's acting if she's just helping out someone she knows. She might've been paid a flat fee for filming and broadcasting, or she might be in line for a finder's fee if a sale comes via her channel. Either way savvy old Nicky ain't doin' nothin' for free, as a commercial promotion on her channel she should be transparent about it and declare it as such, she's likely in violation of the Youtube user agreement.
She might well have left her phone in Tuscany but I'm surprised she was unable to post because of that, she usually has that vlogging camera and presumably had her laptop with her if she's busy writing another book. God only knows what it could be about. I wonder if she'll try to do it more professionally, her last one was amateur hour, I particularly loved the unattributed quotes on the back cover! I wonder if it made much money, maybe she's doing it for ego.
the book is "ego" 100% as not going to make much money at the end of the day in writing books (at least not the ones she does).
Maybe it's another cookbook, did he publish the one she made before ?
The cook book of slop recipes was another amateur effort. I think it's available as a PDF but she also had some hard copies printed, there was a vlog where they were stuffing enveopes and taking boxes of them down to a post office in the UK.
I think it must be because of her dad that she's flitting back and forth, sorting out all her old belongings from the family home. Maybe he's decided to sell and downsize. Just shows tho how one sided that relationship with Carlo is. He was barely allowed to go back to Positano when his father was ill and Madamme Story didn't bother her a at all. And it was only a drive away. She can hop on a plane every other week. Speaks volumes.
The truncated part of her Patreon post visible as a non payer said something like "my dad had to go for a s". I'm guessing the word was scan, unless it was swim, or mit.
I expect that having a 'proper' reason for travelling back to England she'll be more open about her trips there, as opposed to her usual monthly two-week Surrey stays that she kept under the radar.

I've thought about this way more than I should......but I'm sort of thinking the whole "I left my phone in Tuscany" is a bit of a ruse. She says because she didn't have her phone, she couldn't post on Instagram, read her emails, take pictures, get on WhatsApp, etc. Yet she had her laptop! And she was able to make a post on Patreon!
I call BS. If you have your laptop, you can get your emails....you can read your emails.....you can post on Instagram. Apparently, you can start to write your new book, too!
If you want to do what your friends are doing - taking a media break - then say so. Just do it! No need to create this fantastical story just because you wanted a week off!

You forgot, too, that she complained about it endlessly on her vlog, too. So much work for her over her Christmas holiday in England, that we heard about for several vlogs. She vlogged showing herself going to the post office at something like 6:00 a.m., stuffing those envelopes, showing how Carlo and her daughter left her to stuff the envelopes by herself, complaining the whole time, saying she didn't have much of a Christmas (and then the following year, said she doesn't even like Christmas, for whatever reason)..

Yes, her harrumphing was off the scale posting out those cookbook orders. It was like, "You pay me money and I have to DO stuff???"" She comes from a place of entitlement, she really feels it shouldn't be so hard for her.
Almost every working person I know, private, public sector or business owner constantly goes the extra mile to get the job done, they work outside of normal hours, give up days off, work through personal issues. The big difference is that NO ONE would go and let their clients know, Imagine, "Hi clients! Well, what a butt ache it was to get to this meeting this morning. The dog was sick on my shoes and I missed my train. You know I had to put this presentation together all by myself right? It's not my job but I work with lazy idiots. I was my wife's birthday and I pissed her off working all hours to get it done, can you actually see what I do for you?"

I think she was also annoyed because she appeared to miscalculate postage costs and it wasn't as lucrative as she imagined.

Apparently, whatever is taking her to the UK so many times does have to do with her dad. She just posted on Instagram (in her stories) that she and her dad were out walking and she said he hadn't been out for a few weeks because he hasn't been "very well" and that they were walking to get him back on his feet.
Yes I saw him in the video...he is well over 90 and my guess is he may be moving somewhere with some onsite help. We can expect NP to be in UK often over the summer...quite a contrast to how soon Carlo had to get back to Tuscany after his father's death. But he is an adult and can speak up if he feels he wants to be more in Positano these days.
I fear Carlo has been henpecked to death by Nicky, and just "goes with the flow" to keep the peace in their relationship. Which is really sad- can you imagine if Nicky's father passed?!? The world would just stop because it happened to Nicky- not the fact her father is up there in years, but she'd make it all about HER. But, when it is Carlo losing his dad, "He has family there." The whole thing is really messed up. Nicky seemed more irritated about her forking kitchen at the time.
I had to laugh when she told the market seller she was from Positano after speaking in a very obvious English accent. Why give such an obnoxious answer when it's obvious you're not Italian? Why not just say 'I'm from England but have been in Italy for X years'. I just don't understand being deliberately obstinate when someone is just curious.
And I am more than shocked she didn't edit out her shouting at Carlo for daring to have a fly swatter hanging in the pantry. It was openly hostile and aggressive and entirely her having a massive go at him. Nicki, that fly swatter doesn't ruin the aesthetic, it is really on brand for your junkyard, cluttered home.
