I agree with many of you... I have never liked the name Darcy.. especially if it’s shortened (god knows why you’d do that)

Funny thing is, I now have a stepdaughter called Darcy 😱
I think Darby is much better and a nice name and not common where I am from.

Speaking of separating your children from others with horrendous names I’ve done this 🙈 My daughter tried being friends with a Katanya! Nope, just not happening

I know a woman who has 2 daughters & their middle names are both Jo! It’s strange because sometimes you can tell what programs people have been watching to get names from or celebs who are popular at the time, my friends daughter has a little girl called Piper, I think I wonder if she watched orange is the new black? 😂

My nana and her sister were both called Hannah! Their middle names, which both began with M were to differentiate themselves from each other but both went by totally different first names anyway!

My cousin's children are Samuel and Ella (Salmonella) and Noah

His middle name is James so he gave James as middle names to the boys as well

No originality at all

Amelia - can I feel ya

My father has 2 sons with the same middle name, different mothers though. You’d think he would have mentioned it to baby-mamma no.2.

Same! Scottish lass here and hate the name Karl, I end up saying Karuull!! English folk sound posh when saying it as well 😂😂
Hahah I know, right? Karl is butchered by us Scots.

Also feel Ella / Elle/ Ellie are names we also destroy. Especially when screeched out in heavy nasal Glaswegian accents “Eh-ll-AHHH” 🤮🤮

I have no new names to add.. it seems we all dislike the same names!🤣 2 of my children, my name and my husbands name has been on here too! 😂 one of my childrens name hasn't though woop! I'll tell it.. its Violet 🤗 I'm sure that will be added to a few peoples list now😁
Boys names I don't like modern: the 'Dens names, Fin, Caleb, Jacob, Alfie, Blake, Thomas, Nathan
Boys not modern: Scott, Lewis, Dale, Kyle, Danny (all Dannys are wicks!), any boys names beginning with J, Keith, Dave, Andy.. basically any mans name iver the age of 30 I probably don't like.
Girls modern: Lexi, Olivia, Darcy, Alexa, Terri, Ruby, Lola, Sasha, Tallulah.
Not modern: Courtney, chantelle, Chelsea, Sarah, Stacey, Lindsey, Sharon, Caroline, Amy.

I like the name Violet and it was the initial list for my daughter but i just cant say it nicely with my accent.

Accents make so much difference to a name as Meh says

I can‘t stand Tiffany. I find it absolutely horrible (sorry to all the Tiffanies here).
And when people give their kids pet or just horrible names, like some celebrities (Kingston, Zuma Nesta Rock, Apollo, Pilot Inspector??? and a weird code That Elon Musk thinks it is a name)

I just remembered something. I have a name which doesn’t seem to get used now but was popular in the ‘80s and ‘90s - particularly as a middle name.

When I was around maybe 8 -10 years old though I didn’t actually know anyone with the name (despite it being fairly common) and so whenever anyone used to ask my name I used to really over-pronounce it and sometimes even spell it out because I thought it was some rare exotic name they wouldn’t have heard of 😂

What a twit.

I hate the middle name "James" for a girl. It's become so weirdly popular. Just why?
