Hmm...just picked up on something they were asked if Maddie did her GSCE's, he said no she has not taken any. This begs the question, WHY? if they are such advocates of home-schooling, why has their child no qualifications whatsoever? Also how can they write a book on home-schooling when there is no positive outcome for the child. Apart from cash to line their own pockets from the commission from the book.
I did mention up thread it would be a very short book !

Hi Sabbie
During coronavirus they have been exceptionally critical of the governments handling of the crisis. They firmly state a labour government would do things better. I say they constantly spout their left wing agenda as that's exactly what they do. Some days the whole vlog has been about their political opinions about Labour. I appreciate your point of view but I don't agree with not calling them out re their "left wing" agenda. Its prolific. When it happens I have and will continue to call it out. They have newspapers for their Sunday show as a segment I believe. They are champagne socialists in many respects but a left wing agenda is what they have and what they force on their subs who listen to them. It's a term that perfectly describes their opinions I'm afraid. As you say, you haven't watched them. I have and it's one of my reasons for calling them out as an entertainment vlog is not the place to heavily push any political agenda, it just happens that they constantly push their Labour party beliefs
Thanks for your accurate response and not resorting to name calling. I have no clue how any of you can bother to watch them! I certainly cannot bear to! My mother is a raging Tory but she’s complained non stop daily about Boris since lock down and I agree with her while pointing out that’s what she voted for. It’s too funny. 😆

I’ll ignore the odious response from another just to not derail the thread further. Sorry I bothered to call it how I see it.

A few weeks ago, I posted about how their ‘reality show’ was starting to resemble Mel B’s pimp producer ex-husband's 2010 car crash reality show (v much his idea, sold off her name - sound familiar?) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_B:_It's_a_Scary_World

That man trapped Mel, pregnant and vulnerable after being humiliated by Eddie Murphy. The end of their marriage was a nasty, blackmailing mess. The more I think about it, the more it feels like this is M’s game. Hence, the hasty marriage to ‘N off the telly’, when it had never been a priority before.

I reckon there was a time in their relationship when M used to threaten N with revealing all to the News of the World. Sadly for him, his golden goose is now flabby and tired. As N herself said: “No one’s interested.” At the moment, M would be lucky to pay more than a couple of months’ rent with the fee he’d ‘earn’. Unless he was prepared to spill on N’s feud with Julia and the story of her first marriage - then I reckon he'd have enough to cover rent on a bedsit until he reaches 50.

I wouldn’t put it past the b**tard. Do you think that when N talks about her sisters’ controlling ex-partners on LW she’s projecting?
I did mention up thread it would be a very short book !
who the hell in their right minds would buy it? They are hardly the type of family you would take advice about home schooling from, their approach is far to laid back - not sure what they are teaching them tbh

@tomtomclub She said once during lockdown 2 hours a week is enough. Also they planned to do a bit of homework with Kiki one day, Kiki didn't feel like it, so they all watched tv instead. Sums them all up.

I said I'd post what the psychiatrist on our team where I volunteer said in response to some vlogs I asked him to browse as he like me is fascinated by people and their behaviour. He can obviously only comment in a generalised way.

Psyc - Firstly he said that someone with such clinical depression and anxiety would really really struggle, to not only commit to a daily show, but would be highly unlikely to perform in, and produce a daily vlog every day for several months without many absences due to the effects of their clinical depression and anxiety.

NotSUBmissive - Marks presence in the vlogs has been a constant since day one and his daily actions of constantly performing and being present, this does not correspond with his words when he repeatedly says he's struggling with his mental health.

Psyc - Regarding a person refusing to take medication, he said that waiting for depression to simply pass can be harmful for a number of reasons. For one, depression that goes untreated may become more severe and can lead to other serious health conditions. He also said it can take the trying of a variety of medications to find the right one that works best. A person would have to engage with their gp and mental health services to do this.

Psyc - He also said, if a person refused medication, there are psychotherapies that are as effective, so medication may not be the only option.

NotSUBmissive - Mark said he tried one medication and decided it wasn't for him and stopped it. Mark has never said he's had CBT for depression, only for alcohol yrs ago.

Psyc - Getting a diagnosis for bipolar disorder can be complicated because it’s difficult to recognize hypomania or mania in oneself, however video evidence of any behaviour could really help with a diagnosis.

NotSUBmissive - I've printed what my colleague said to me, I think his opinions are very interesting, especially about bipolar 😂.
Aren't humans beings fascinating!

Mark is happy to moan about his mental health constantly but does not seem bothered in anyway to deal with it or help himself. In my opinion it's a very selfish man who puts his family through his alleged daily mood swings etc but refuses to get help to help himself! Especially when there is so much help out there. They refer everyone else to help themselves but fail to get help themselves. It's not good enough in this day and age to constantly tell the world you suffer so badly with your mental health but to also choose to do nothing about it.

Buying 4 huge bulky items in a house that has hardly any storage is ridiculous, with all of the sweating, unwashing, dogs and food spillages the oodies with stink in the very near future 🙁🤢😳
The dogs will be lying all over them on the sofas too, whilst eating their oesophaguses.

I remember when Nitty was talking about this on LW. Someone asked her about exams. She said they don't need them, they may take one or two! Also claims, that universities love home schooled children and will accept them, based on an interview! When asked, what if the girls want to be doctors or lawyers etc. Nitty said, well they don't, so it won't matter. Isn't it sad they are not giving the girls the option. With their laziness and lack of discipline how will they even get jobs in a coffee shop. They have no useful life skills. It's not going to end well.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall when/if Maddie has any kind of interview 😂

But they have stated they hate Jeremy Corbyn though so probably New Labour.

Well, that a frigging relief. Does anyone like JC? 🤔 Even my closest friend of 30 years who is also a Labour MP hates him!

I think that’s a little unfair. How often do you speculate on how many GCSEs Amy Winehouse had? :sneaky:

It all comes down to laziness, them being home schooled suits M And N,they dont have to do school runs,a few wee trips to a museum or a running track, is how they home school

I get the impression Nadia tries to do the opposite of everything Mark's exes have done with their daughters. His other two wives had hospital births, Nadia was adamant she was having homebirths, the other girls went to school and uni, Nadia doesn't think it is necessary for her girls.

Apparently Mark and Nadia have a bug announcement this week....I wonder what they are going to ask of their subs now? What will they be asked to buy?

I am not sure how the comparison to Amy Whitehouse comes into it, Maddie's talent is not comparable at all. Education is not just about qualifications it is about life skills, going to Art Galleries and having big parties at home are not transferrable life skills to the workplace in my opinion. The girls do not have structure they stay up very late, and lay in bed until lunchtime. In the real world you have to be able to manage time appropriately. They do not appear to use must initiative, or have a lot of enthusiam ,or motivation ,so I suspect taking direction from other people would be very difficult for them. This is entirely down to the parents attitude and lazy parenting style.

Do we thing Nads may call ahead and remind possible employers just who she is? 😜 .I know teens can be stroppy ,but heck that kid`s got some heavy attitude!
N is one of THOSE mothers who would go along with her, and take huge offence when she is told to stay outside. In my line of work this happened often with the parents of 18's. The number of youngsters totally unprepared for what a job interview entails is staggering. Even planning on how you are going to get there, managing time, being well presented and prepared. Also having a professional email address instead of something completely stupid. They are even more shocked when their online presence is researched and they are questioned it, in particular their activities, posts and photos that employers use to build up a picture of someone's character.

I think MissMickey was saying that Maddie and her folks think Maddie is as talented as Amy Winehouse, they were being ironic
