I too came here after being invited following the jack monroe deletion. And now I just get frustrated when I can't "like" posts over on MN 😂

Stepmothers and Mothers in Law are all evil. No questions asked. All men are abusers who want to rape and kill us, even gay men apparently, who also hate women as well and drag is offensive because it’s mocking women and should be seen in the same way as blacking up (yes really!). One poster recently said Drag Race was no different to the Black and White Minstrel Show. And she was serious as well.
And their comments to all of this stuff is LTB ( leave the bastard). It’s the same old hags that feature in the comments and its a big clique.

Was it her who posted that her husband had lied about some sort of professional qualification and ended up having everything deleted as people had worked out who she was and could have ruined him, or am I getting my (fake) royalty mixed up?
That sounds familiar, i do remember concerns she had been indentified and then a mass history wipe.

Xenia had been publically identified so so many times over the years but that doesn't scare her off. :ROFLMAO:

Idiot, moron and cretin were all used as terms to described neurodivergent people. That's why it's disablist. The village idiot of the olden days was most probably mentally ill. Cretin, I think, was a condition related to a lack of thyroid hormone during pregnancy causing low intellect. Same with moron - a person who was not bright.

If AF is who I think she is then I've seen h3r give great advice on the relationship boards. I've also seen her give some snippy silly comments on them too occasionally though.
I also seem to recall earlier in the years that MN didn't like her user name and wanted her to change it. I am going back several years though.

I used to use it quite a lot when my kids were smaller. The parenting/baby forums were more friendly.

AIBU is a bit of a vipers nest, but mn as a whole was alright. Definitely not ‘all’ bad just depends which areas you frequent. There are a lot of trolls on there nowadays and I stopped posting when the daily fail started lifting things from there for content.

Posted before reading the thread. Are they actually serious with this £4.99 a month thing? They’re literally offering the same services every other forum offers for free?

I have so many questions. How do you go about bannIng problem premium members? I get the idea is that trolls wouldn’t bother paying to subscribe but no doubt there will be premium members who turn ‘rogue’ when they realise what a shit show mn has become.

Do premium members get preferential treatment over normal members? They shouldn’t.

Did I actually read they were going to have an editing time of 15 seconds? Surely I misread that! Even on here you get 10mins.

When they get told to call the police! 😂Yes, I’m sure the police have enough time to investigate someone smoking a spliff in their own garden and not causing any trouble/being loud 🙄
Plus they call weed smokers criminals and there was a thread about that TV program which was a reality show about the buses in London (how exciting) and I think it was called the Fare Dodgers, or something catchy like that, anyhoo this one fare dodger was called an “absolutely disgusting criminal” all because he dodged a fare!😂 if that’s what constitutes a criminal then I would hate to see what they thought of a real criminal, jeez they would have no pearls left as they would be pulled down with all the clutching😂😂

They’re bitching about it being cruel to let kids or dogs chase birds now. Batshit.
Again ? Fuck me ,this thread appears at least once every couple months which suggests to me they are new members. I do think it’s cruel but is this all they’ve got to worry about in their lives ?

The posh thread is laughable. So many posters falling over themselves to tell everyone how they were called posh growing up because they talked properly. Fuck off. Posh means the aristocracy, Lords and Lady’s, Duke, Earls etc.
So many trying to demonstrate to a load of trolls how UMC they are.

A truly posh person wouldn't need to work out whether they were posh. There's an awful lot of posters claiming to have been privately educated and have RP accents. Bless them. Showing off is never classy.
I can’t be bothered to read their boring life stories which ends in them claiming to be posher than Wills and Kate.

What happened with the premium membership, I got an email about it but didn't follow up?
Any theories on why posters are so confrontational, I got called out a few times for saying the wrong thing, I really had no idea I said anything controversial and I got absolutely ripped apart by one poster. One! I think I said (light hearted thread) "all men like sex", the poster then educated me on why I was a sexist vile specimen, I felt so humiliated but definitely learned a lesson to think carefully before posting silly comments.
I tried to stay in the light hearted threads , the way a serious thread could turn depending on what the first few responses to the OP were was always a bit nervy.

The speculation on that thread is disgusting, but then it always is on missing person and murder threads.

Mumsnet is such a weird place. At the start of the year they were all absolutely hysterical about the virus, whinging the government weren’t doing enough, that the schools didn’t close early enough, that we didn’t go into lockdown early enough. Then when we did there was all the curtain twitching, spying on neighbours, wanting to report people who weren’t staying in their homes 24/7. Now it’s gone on too long for and they are all whinging about their children not being able to go to school (all teachers fault obviously), wanting to book cottages in twee middle class seaside resorts despite locals not wanting an influx of people. I mean god forbid they should have to parent their own kids and miss out on a fucking holiday!

I've been on MN on and off (more off in recent years) since about 2007. I had a major falling out with a group of posters who were pretty horrible to me (for the time, nowhere near the doxxing stuff that goes on nowadays, but pretty bitchy and spiteful nonetheless) in 2012 and didn't post at all for about 2 years. Since then I've namechanged regularly if I do post on there.

I thank Tattle for opening my eyes to the fake threads, the ABC parking one and stuff - I thought the other thread by that poster was total BS but when it was confirmed...that decided me that MN is kind of a busted flush. I can't imagine paying to use it. I just wouldn't bother

Everything is taken to extremes on mn, every post is picked apart and twisted. It’s just ridiculous.

Anyone remember Crumbs / Cherry pavlova
Yes, I do 😆 she was a massive fucking fantasist. I did enjoy her posts though. Someone on the MN Trolls on Reddit once trawled through all her posts and collected them altogether and it was brilliant. She posted a photo of her supposed mansion once and it looked like she’d taken it by hiding in a bush. And then she posted a pic of her ‘bedroom’ that was actually from the website of a hotel in London. Her posts were all about living in a village similar to the one in The Vicar of Dibley and all her 6 kids were either high achieving Drs and Navy Generals and they were the most popular kid at school and the younger ones were child prodigies. MN knew she was a troll but always let her posts stand.

The education threads are bonkers, lots of ‘call ofsted’ for the slightest thing. Some people obviously think there’s a crack team of inspectors waiting to swoop in after one call from MN.
They do believe that they are hugely important and they even think that they influence soap storylines!!

I kid you not 😂😂...they will say things on the Emmerdale board and then weeks later they will say that the Emmerdale producers must read MN because they were complaining about x y z and now x y x has been fixed with all thanks to MN😂😂😂

Deluded much
