I've just remembered a thread that was titled "sex in my garden" or something and allegedly there was this couple having sex in the hedge outside this woman's house! Anyone remember?

I’m hoping this is an OK place to post this, i tried looking for a thread suitable and figured this could be a good place to ask. I’m putting together a hamper for my sister in law’s baby shower who is due in August full of bits for the baby and for her! I really wanna make sure she can feel pampered too in a way because I know she’s not felt so good about herself and people often focus on the baby more (naturally) - could any of you tell me anything good like little bits I could get for her specifically? Anything you found useful in pregnancy towards the end of it or in that first period after giving birth? Same could apply for little key bits for a baby. So far for her I’ve got her some face masks and then my little coco hydrating sheet masks.
Much appreciated for any advice/ideas you can give 🥰 sincerely, someone whose not yet had a baby xx

Hey! I posted on Mumsnet (under various usernames) for years and years (and years) . Until they got hacked, everyone had to log back in & I couldn’t remember my password or the original email address I’d set up with. So I just gave up 🤷‍♀️ And was in “forum wilderness” , where I’ve remained for about 3 years - lurking😳
I lurked on Reddit (didn’t get it) , I lurked on the other Mum sites (my kids are older now so I’m over the breastfeeding chat 😆)
Then THEN a miraculous thing happened... Brummy mummy off Insta sent me over, after her tearful Stories about mean cows on here slagging her. That’s the VERY PLACE for me I said to myself & and here I am , with a log in and everything 😄 So happy!
Any other ex-mumsnetters here? It all got a bit doom & gloom on there didn’t it 😲
Me! I love Tattle! I’m right at home here 🤣

Was his name something like AverageGayLad or something? Reckoned he was 19 and terrified his parents would boot him out when they found out? Like parents don't already know :D
Cancel the cheque was funny because so many people read the OP then posted without reading the rest. :D
Who was penetration man?
Penis beaker was ridiculous and I'm pretty sure completely made up for shit and giggles.

Another pregnancy test ‘can you see the faint line’ thread just now. No, as usual there’s nothing there but that doesn’t stop loads of posters piping up with ‘ooooh yes, very faint line there congratulations’. If you have to ask random strangers on the internet if they can see the non existent line then there isn’t one there. It’s really unhelpful to give people false hope when chances are they aren’t pregnant, or its still too early to tell. I don’t know why the mods allow those threads to stand?

It's a truly awful site. I've on been on many different forums over the years but site that has some of the most vicious posters l've ever seen.

So many threads descend into arguments, personal insults, one-upmanship, name calling etc.

I feel so awful for obviously vulnerable posters looking for help on there, just to get a pile-on, usually lead by "MNs royalty". It says a lot about a site that those types are considered the best.
TBF you do get some nice helpful people too but that's just due to the amount of members they have, a few good eggs amongst the bad!

That was interesting read. I agreed with a LOT of the complaints levelled at Tattle. I only read off topic because of these issues on the main site.

And the thing is, yes often men do behave badly. But so do women! In real life I know just as many women who’ve had affairs and cheated on their husbands and partners as I do men. In fact I’d say it’s pretty evenly balanced.
Law of averages say cheating is balanced.... unless you have one or two extremely busy cheaters knocking about!

I used to read the Daily Mail online (another hotbed of nastiness imo) and they would often run articles on questions posed on MN. I’m not on MN but I got the vibe that they trawled it to find questions that were quite ‘out there’ and wrote about it. Now if even 10% of the people who read about it on DM were inclined to troll, there would be nothing to stop them signing up and contributing to what’s been described in this thread

I was bowled over last week when I saw the same names doing the same thing. Its been years since I was there! Years!!! How could you not get bored or tired of the place.
I liked one of the replies ‘yes we know you have been here since 2011 and yes we know you have kept the same name’.
That definitely means you don’t troll.

I was also a handbagger!

and was also a MNer. It’s become SO hysterical over the last couple of years. Anyone ever talking about their husband is told to leave the bastard!

Saying about well known Mners who were treated as royalty- what about AnyFucker- very unpleasant.
AnyFucker got all over that bloody place! Telly section, parenting, AIBU, relationships...AnyFucker is her namesake, without the Any! Wonder what she is like in real life?...🤔😳🤯

It’s not Beefcurtains79 that made the comment, they were just quoting it taking the piss out of the sycophants.

The thread has now been zapped by Mumsnet HQ! Can’t have the queen bee of Mumsnet being portrayed badly now.
Ah,right- yes, it was the original quote I meant . I was seething after reading it!’

I am studiously ignoring the covid section. It's full of people who can't or won't cope with it.
I’ve just had a peek at the Covid section. Good god, it’s all very the-end-is-nigh, isn’t it? The first page of this thread cracked me up. I feel sympathetic a bit if they are genuinely feeling that way but it comes across as false, grief-scoring and...well... so Mumsnet lol. Look at the replies!
(Can’t link but it’s titled something like “since the 8pm announcement” in the covid section)
