You’re a step mother? Then it doesn’t matter what you was posting about on MN - you’re wrong! You were in the queue at Tesco and a man came up and took something out of your trolley and then punched you when you said something? You probably deserved it for being so awful to your step children. Home wrecker! 😂
😂😂😂 yes you are completely right. I was told it was mine and my daughters fault that his daughter didn’t want to come over And that I need to remember I’m not his daughters mother....... I’m well aware of that! me not being her mother didnt change the issue we were having tho!

I thought it would be a good place to get an objective opinion because everyine in real life was too involved and the actual issue was getting pushed to the side because of other stuff being brought up. I was very wrong! As someone else said. It’s a complete nest of vipers!

They can be really judgmental on there when it comes to the topic of childcare, to send or not send kid to nursery/pre-school/how many hours etc

I could just launch mums.life in half an hour, it would be far far better than Mumsnet and just need people to move over. Not sure if it's worth saving though 🤷‍♀️
Going by the quality of posts, trolling, viciousness and cliques I'd say not at the moment but it might be worth nabbing the domain for the future 🙂

Apparently JR has sent out an email asking for people to pay for a subscription. I guess the post she put up didn't yield the results she was hoping for. I don't have sight of the email as I deleted my account yesterday.

so many of them on there love a stealth boast about about their mansions, 50k + a year salary and five year old DC passing their alevels they will probably claim to be paying 4.99 a day and state how worth it is.

I came off there years ago after reading a thread that personally really upset me and the amount of people that were piling on was awful. Popped back recently as I was bored, and see there are posters there still doing that really irritating/trying to be hilarious “gavel” thing 🙄 and the same posters I remember from years ago still imparting their holy wisdom on to the crowd of sheep that hang on their every word 😴 I’m gobsmacked they are trying to charge for it!

Can you imagine if anyone apart from AF said that. They would be called every name under the sun.
On the MN Trolls subreddit someone has pointed out how, rather than referring to her as OP they are calling her ‘AF’. That wouldn’t happen with anyone else. I’m surprised the mods haven’t deleted it yet.

I mean....

posts like this one? What the hell. I’m pretty sure most of Mumsnet wants you to sit in a darkened room in the corner having no fun whatsoever during lockdown. Eating basic rice or pasta. No bread or milk as they aren’t essential items.
What a miserable woman. Maybe their hob/oven broke and they fancied a full English.

What of the ones that say don’t take digs of the kids and you must keep them for however long it take them to move out

Aye right delusional much.

God you have some memory. I loved spotting a troll but when HQ wouldn't delete and let it run and run I got so annoyed. There was one that I've already mentioned upthread who would get deleted then name change and start again. I have my suspicions that she was the orange poster who ended up on reddit, unfounded of course.
I haven't got a great memory - both posters have threads about them on MNTrolls :D :D

I'm not sure about the orange one, but it's not unheard of for a troll to fake a pregnancy for attention and gifts. Becca Beushausen is a good example of an emotional vampire, with her long saga of carrying her terminally ill child to term instead of having an medical abortion. She didn't post about baby April on Mumsnet although it wouldn't surprise me if she was a poster on there.

I used to have a Penguin bar with my sandwiches in my packed lunch for primary school. I've just remembered my little orange lunch box I had in my earlier primary school years. I later used to have my packed lunch in the white Tesco bags with the 70s logo, a red capital T inside a circle. It's weird what you remember out of the blue.
Primary school...Marmite sandwiches cut into the qauters, a kit kat, mini cheddars and a flask of orange juice. Winnie the pooh lunch box, royal blue. Felt envious of the kids who had yogurts or even carton drinks in their lunch boxes. My mum reckoned the yogurt my burst and leak or i may spill it on my uniform. 🤣🤣
These days she would be forced to pack fruit instead of the chocolate and cheddars.

There’s a new thread on there with someone complaining about their 60 year old neighbours getting a hot tub. The OP is getting absolutely slaughtered ! They love a hot tub or a parking thread on mumsnet.
With a diagram! Any parking posts have to have the accompanying diagram.

You can’t get to Mumsnet directly from Tattle, it redirects to “Mumsnet is a Shady Site”. You need to copy and paste the URL
Hilarious and frustrating in equal measures, I don’t really know to find url but will endeavour!

God I hate AnyFucker. And urgggh about the 2nd Home boasting!
Only an hour away no less! The sycophants are out in force, tongues covered with polyps.

I also remember one thread that really boiled my piss where a woman got so angry at her partner because Nutella on their bed clothes that she threw objects at him and slammed a door so hard it broke the plaster on the walls. Obviously in mumsnet land it was the partners fault and he must have done something to trigger it. Anyone who pointed out that domestic violence can happen to anyone male or female was roundly piled on.
And I bet they all told her she was perfectly reasonable for reacting that way, but if the roles were reversed and it was then man who had done it, it would be "999 NOW", "LTB" etc etc.
What used to really annoy me when I was on the site was a woman posting about being in an abusive relationship, but with no money, no friends or family and literally no where to go, being rounded on and told "But WHY are you with him, do you not care about your children? Leave NOW, there has to be SOMEWHERE you can go. Pack a bag and go TONIGHT" when there may have literally been absolutely nowhere the poor woman could go.

I know because it happened to a friend of mine, though thankfully for her I doubt she posted on Mumsnet looking for advice at the time because replies like that would have broken her.

I was never brave enough to post on mumsnet but lurked 😂 they were a little kinder on Rollercoaster but only marginally no idea if it still even exists a decade later 🏄 off to check
Was that a Bay City Roller fan site? ;)

One of my kids was diagnosed with a short-lived and happily curable illness in their early teens but I never posted on MN because I was scared people would think I was attention-seeking. I joined an online support group instead and that was much better.

Well you could always wash your own kids clothes you know! In real life I don’t know anyone with a cleaner!
I’m a professional cleaner , had my own business too and there’s no way I’d wash clients clothes for this very reason . That’s more a housekeeper role , not a cleaners . I dream of winning the lottery and the first thing I’d hire is a housekeeper

My senior school used to sell coke paper cups full of chips at breaktime. On the tables in the dining hall were servings of salad cream or tomato sauce and salt and vinegar.... when I had chips I’d drown them in salt n vinegar. Outside there was a van from the local bakery selling sausage rolls, fake cream eclairs, donuts and fruit slice (10p an item). Those were the days :D
