Shithole obviously likes the mountains of dog and cat tit throughout her home to be well lit.
Yikes!!

I went into the sex forum once and just clicked out as no point. My libido has gone missing with middle age but luckily I'm not particularly interested in a boyfriend either.

Wow I'm a damp squib aren't I?? I just have to hope my sex drive doesn't reignite or else the boys would be in trouble.

Whilst we're adding words that irritate, can I put forward bleeping bimble. You did not go for a 'bimble' you went for a bloody walk. Stop it.

In fairness, you've never seen me dithering around Tesco's, picking things up, putting things back, dropping things, swapping things for other things if I find cheaper ones or prettier coloured ones, getting lost and not being able to find the jelly . . . "bimble" (a word with which, until now, I was totally unfamiliar) sounds like it might describe it.

Nope, dithering is a perfectly good word for what you describe. You don't need to descend into the insanity 😂

<slaps self sharply across the face>

<I needed that>

Thank you, Sisters - you are right.

I am one of Nature's ditherers and should be proud of the fact. "Bimbling" has a half-witted quality about it that even I haven't yet achieved.

How do we feel about pootling? I quite like a bit of a pootle, has a nice aimless quality that appeals to me

I don't particular mind "pootling". I don't think it would spontaneously occur to me to use it, but there is a childlike innocence about it which redeems it somewhat.

I don't think I would attack someone for using it depending upon their accent and the context, obviously.

You are a strong, dithering woman! You are NOT a bimbler!

I can live with a pootle actually. Mostly because it takes me back to The Flumps (and if you get that reference you're ooooold like me)
😂

Thank you!

<proudly draws self up to full height (5'2 and a bit)>

I feel seen.

I feel validated.

I feel POWERFUL!

Now - which of these two identical tins of beans should I buy?

Anyone reading “double barrelled name” on AIBU? Started out relatively normal (for MN)… but has escalated rather quickly. Not sure if I believe it, seems an enormous over-reaction

Waah - I too am a fan of the big light. As is my son. Both ADHD and don't like the dark. I sleep with the light on when my partner is away. Found out when we moved house that my son doesn't like sleeping on his own - fortunately his brother is happy to continue to share a bedroom.
And I bloody bought a house with them all excited about getting their own bedroom!:LOL:
Me too,I hate the dark, it's not cosy to me. I like brightness.

Also, if that poster is shithole, their living room looked better than I was expecting. I didn't spot any dog poo.

And: did anyone believe a word of this thread from yesterday?

What was the outcome of the parking thread? Believable or 'everybody clapped'? 😂

Dear God why did I go to a National Trust place on half term? The entire cast of Mumsnet were there.

“Horace please don’t get your trousers dirty”
“Oh darling I understand that you’re feeling a little pressured right now but could we just consider this painting”
“Well done sweetie, well done” (to the kid kicking off)
“Now Pernicious and Constantinople, what did we learn about (original house owners) from the drawing room?”
“No Tortellini, we don’t touch mud darling”
“Let’s just sit down and have some delicious canapés”

duck me.

You're brave going there in half term!

I was in the supermarket a couple of weeks ago and the woman in front had her teenageish child with her who was being so rude to her, in a really rude/disgusted voice child was questioning ALL of mums purchases. 'why have you bought the big ketchup' ' why are you buying butter, we've got butter' in a really 'you're a bleeping idiot' tone and the mum was just saying stuff like 'well done for considering we already have butter sweetie. I'm going to make extra sandwiches for a picnic on Saturday so I need extra butter' ' well done for knowing we don't usually need the big ketchup, I'm buying it this time because it's such a good deal'. Then child basically slung some shopping in a few bags in the trolley without care eg bread in the bag then 6 pints of milk on top then chucked into the trolley on top of the cakes, mum praised child again for helping and great job and stuff. Then as they walked away child said I better get at least a tenner for helping with this tit and stormed off in front. I was considering how my mum would've reacted and concluded I'd still be heating the ringing in my ears decades later from the clip round the ear!

She called the police at 14.30 and a tow truck came out at 16.00. You decide...
In fairness as a couple of posters have put on the thread they do have trucks out around grounds for this very reason so thats not at all impossible.
