Clare was the middle-aged alcoholic daughter of a mumsnetter. Her mam posted frequent updates from her daughter's bedside in intensive care. Clare died. I don't think Clare was real. I think Pam was, although I'm still perturbed by the fake husband posting an update about her death, then the real husband did. That became all a bit dramatic and odd.

Pamela had pancreatic cancer. She struggled to get diagnosed and was fobbed off but eventually did get diagnosed and went down hill quickly. Her husband was rich and brought her over from Ireland to the U.K. to get treatment on Harley Street but I don’t think did much to prolong her life and she passed away. A lot of us were sceptical but I think someone found her death notice so she was indeed a real person.
