They are also obsessed with chelsea boots which must be the frumpiest shoes I’ve ever seen.
They wear theirs with boot cut jeans so I think your oknooooo! I love a chelsea boot or a jodhpur boot (sorry, I'll get me coat)

Black and dark brown sounds bleeping atrocious. They think they're bleeping country casuals/modern day Sloane Rangers and they're all boring BHS. No wonder their husbands are always bleeping their PA.I'm in my early 30s and beginning the process of adopting an older (at least 8-10 years old) child. I don't doubt he or she will be hideously embarrassed by me but I'm not going to start dressing "sensibly" just because I became a mum, thank you Mumsnet
There's a thread at the moment "obsolete fashion rules you still keep" and some people are so snotty about the most trivial things (wearing black with a colour other than white or "bitter chocolate" - do you mean dark brown? Or mixing silver and gold jewellery) And witchy comments about women they think look chavvy and/or too overweight to wear something. We can't all be yummy mummies you know
In mumsnet land, the answer is always a Breton top/ statement necklace/ statement scarfWhat do I wear under my rainbow cardi then?
bleeping statement necklaces. Fine if you want to look like Theresa May, or a geography teacher from the 1990’s.In mumsnet land, the answer is always a Breton top/ statement necklace/ statement scarf![]()
I went to a wedding in islington I think, it was the town hall , they put an ad on craigslist or FB or something.. it might have been MN . I didnt know them , I had a day off work , there was me and another ad replier . We were the only 2 there .. I wore my best frock . I took 2 photos of them on my phone and emailed them over .MN is a toxic toxic place.
I sometimes go on the wedding forum, i don't know why because they're generally vile and all show off that they spent under £250 on their whole wedding and if you dare spend more you're stupid, and showy and wasting your money. They will be vile to you if you suggest spending a bit of money on your wedding.
Every MN has worn a second hand, hand me down wedding dress that their aunt Phyllis wore, they didn't have a photographer or any guests and refused to spend any money on any wedding ring. If you ask about wedding cake suggestions you get a tirade of "that's so wasteful" ..."we didn't have a cake"..."who has a wedding cake on their wedding"

Also do not DARE make any mention of presents/gift lists etc on your wedding invites as it’s terribly vulgar according to the MN wise onesMN is a toxic toxic place.

I'm planning a wedding at the moment and this annoys me. I don't care if you got married in your lunch break, wearing your overalls from work, had a quick McDonald's and back to the job. If that's your dream wedding, great! But others are free to spend their money on whatever they wantMN is a toxic toxic place.
