Posts like this drive me mad! Why would a journalist care about MNs opinion on conscription. It's not likely to be happening any time soon. In fact anytime they suggest that the OP is just getting opinions or stories for a newspaper it makes me cross 🤣. Who outside MN cares what they think.

Link please?
I dunno. Papers will publish any old shite for clickbait these days. I saw one the other day about someone whose ‘Christmas had been ruined’ because Hermes had lost their parcel, which was a 30 quid hair shaver for her partner. The most interesting thing about the article was that her boyfriend was called ‘Tank’.

I don’t know why they get so upset that their comment might end up in the online paper anyway. I often try and say something outrageous on there in the hope that it ends up on Mumsnet Madness of Twitter 🤣

My favourite thing is when they go ‘I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION FOR THE DAILY MAIL TO PUBLISH THIS’ at the top of a tedious thread about them moaning about their husband’s hobby (cycling) or their bridezilla Sister In Law.

‘DH farted in bed… LTB’
"It clearly shows that he has absolutely no respect whatsoever for you. Would he do it in front of his boss, his mother or your DC's teacher? He can control himself around everyone else OP, but clearly doesn't respect your boundaries or you as a person. LTB, but first make sure your ducks are in a row and that you have access to everything because all money is family money you know. You need to visit a solicitor and DEMAND your free half hour. You're ENTITLED to it. They HAVE to give it to you. You should get a cleaner in too and as your OP farting has clearly caused you to have PTSD, you need a nice spa break too, oh and I'd log it with 101 just in case"

EVERY hun on there seems to have a strapping 6 foot 4 rugby playing teen DS that wolfs down the contents of the fridge and all the homemade crusty bread with lashings of real butter available
How wouldn't they be six four and perfect when they're the product of a seriously hot husband?

Well looks like I’ve finally been banned from mumsnet for starting a thread saying that the teacher who was caught on camera kicking her horse during a hunt should be sacked and not allowed anywhere near children. Even though most of the replies agreed with me, there was one interesting post from someone presumably in the ‘mumsnet hierarchy’ who said they ‘disliketrial by media‘.I can only assume they reported me and the thread because that’s vanished as well. Trial be media?! The woman was filmed slapping and kicking her horse! Animal abuse is clearly acceptable on MN if the perpetrators as female and teachers by the looks of things 🙄

I've noticed on the food threads they all have lentils with EVERYTHING! Even if they have a fruit salad they'll find a way to shove lentils into it
Their farts must absolutely stink. Though, if you listen to most of them they never fart in front of their ‘DH’s’. They must be pretty much constantly bloated and in agony🙄🤔

There’s a thread this morning from someone who wants to send an anonymous letter to her neighbours because she can see into their bathroom and see them sitting on the toilet etc. Apparently despite the fact that there’s frosted glass she could still see someone sat wiping their arse..🤔 if that’s true, and I don’t think it is TBH, just don’t fucking look is surely the answer?

I remember when Jack Monroe was first in tbe public eye and I knew instantly she was full of shit (as I'm sure anyone who has lived in actual poverty in any form can tell) and was amazed that the public bought her bullshit, particularly as she lacks any ability to actually cook. The idea that someone would give up a £30k+ plus job (that her dad got her) to have a baby with someone she was allegedly on good terms with but who wasn't contributing anything financially or in terms of childcare, to live on a tenner a week, despite having wealthy parents. Pull the other one petal.

She's a textbook personality disorder.

Anyone read the post where the OP got her dog dna tested and it’s come back as 20something% pit bull. She’s getting replies that she should put her lovely puppy down.

I've actually seen people saying you shouldn't spend lots on your kids because it's upsetting to kids with less.

It's so stupid and clearly coming from middle class parents that have no idea what it's like to be poor. Do they think poor kids don't know they're poor. They know and you not buying your kids what they want for Xmas is not gonna make them feel any better about it.

This modern attitude that everybody needs to change their behaviour so not to upset anyone is getting out of hand. I think it's partly the white middle class being offended on people's behalf and partly people being given too much of a voice on social media.

Next we won't be able to put reindeer outfits on kids because Sandra on MN said it's offensive to Inuits.

If someone bought me cleaning products for Christmas I would disown them.. it’s depressing as shit. The 1950’s called..
The most bizarre thing with the Mrs hinch fans is the people with birthday / retirement cakes that are a collection of cleaning products:

I'd be tempted to pine myself if the most important thing in my life was cleaning products

There's a thread on there at the moment, very strange woman. She doesnt want her husband to pick their daughter up from uni to come home for Christmas because a) she doesnt like the daughter much and b) she'd have to look after 3 younger kids, 2 with special needs for a whole 7 hours. I cant fathom it out at all. Of course there's a lot of competitive 4 Yorkshiremen style tales of epic journeys home from uni. Anyway the OP replies in very short sentences or just an emoji, doesnt want to elaborate or anything.
From the age of 6 my parents made me walk 18 miles home from school in howling winds, blistering sun, bone chilling cold and drenching rain. She will survive like I did, don't mollycoddle her. Kids these days are all mollycoddled, it's why they're all obese and lazy and spend all their money at Starbucks and dominos.

There's a debate in active on whether only working class people put their xmas decorations up early  Someone has posted they believe only working class people put their decorations up early because they have a harder life and need to obtain pleasure from simple things like that
Yeah, everyone not working class just has an easy, joyful life with no problems.

Do they know working class people aren't all living like people in Oliver twist or a Christmas Carol....

I've had nothing but friendly chat, support and been made to feel welcome on Tattle whereas I was ignored, belittled and had my posts torn apart on Mumsnet.

I like the different topics on here, whereas on Mumsnet, almost every board has mostly turned into AIBU.

The staff monthly salary was quite high, if I remember. But don't they also use volunteers to staff the boards at night too?

After lurking for months on the celeb forum, I've just made a tattle account to reply here. 😄

I've been on mumsnet for a good eight years now, and I am convinced that a huge number of posters are a) not female, b) not mums, and c) either shills, trolls or commissioned content providers.

Some of the responses on childcare threads, not that there are many of those around anymore, are frankly batshit. Some posts on certain current affairs threads are quite obviously from male political activists. The nastiness in some posts over really mundane stuff is just bizarre. I was reading a thread last night where there was a horrifically venomous post over a comment someone had made about public health in third world countries.

But the bit that really makes me suspicious is that mumsnet posts, in general, are just too well-written to be real. I've been an editor for twenty years, and the quality of linguistic expression across that site is strange. No bunch of self-selecting people consistently write that well, even academics. It's almost as though specialist writers have been commissioned to provide post content.

I've really grown to dislike mumsnet.

I was banned from there a while ago for saying that I thought this sudden non binary trend is a load of bollocks. Something like 90% of the poll voters agreed with me but because a couple of the professionally offended got the hump I was booted off. Note how I was the only poster banned despite almost all of the commenters agreeing and giving their take on it, some of which were far more scathing than my OP.

I tried to sign up again a couple of times when I felt I had something constructive to add to a post or well meaning advice to give to somebody who was asking for support, only to be automatically banned again for being a 'PFB'

You're not allowed an opinion on there if it is remotely controversial. The site owners are too concerned with bad press to give a shit about the sites actual users.

Before being banned I had a separate thread in on another thread asking for support myself. I received some brilliant replies from kind posters about a very sensitive subject at a vulnerable time that was causing me alot of upset in my personal life as I didn't have anybody offline I could talk to about it. Poof went that thread though because the moderators 'had some concerns and wanted to look behind the scenes'

Er no, I wasn't a troll you twats (MN) merely a heavily pregnant woman needing advice on a forum designed to support such people.

Wankers.

What’s with them all pretending they can’t read? Someone will write a perfectly coherent post/thread and you’ll get the dickheads come out.

Op: my dog died.
Dickhead: sorry, I don’t understand. What does that mean?
Op: my dog is dead.
Dickhead: ...
Op: my dog passed away.
Dickhead: oh I see, your dog died. You should really be clearer next time so that people can help you.

So annoying! And totally done on purpose.

Has anyone seen the thread on MN about someone wanting to make a Hinch hamper for their sister? Tattle gets a mention as ‘vile’, before the thread descends into posters calling each other wankers and cunts. The irony!
Anyone who thinks Tattle is the worst on the internet has lived a very sheltered life

Sorry to lower the tone, but it always amazes me how many of them claim to never fart in front of their ‘DH’. There are some who’ve been married for 20 plus years and have never farted in front of them. Do they have corks stuck up their backsides or something?

I mean if you can’t trump in your own home when can you? Everyone farts, it’s natural and normal.
It might account for why a lot of the posters on there seem so quick to snap. I‘d be tetchy as fuck if I were going around holding in farts!

They spend all day on Mumsnet making up fantasies about their oh so amazing lives and sneering at others for being different.

They’re all Christmas haters too, I think. I know some people hate it for various reasons - loneliness, bereavement etc but on there it seems an Olympic sport to sneer about tat and waste and who can out Grinch each other.
I noticed some competitiveness about how late they put up their Xmas decorations. Obviously it started as mid-December being the earliest a classy person can put up their decs and some saying they don't put up decorations any earlier than Chirstmas Eve evening at 11:59PM

I’m laughing at the one asking about Christmas dinner and evening buffets, and the amount of posters claiming they could NEVER manage to eat a buffet on Christmas Day night, but then go on to list the leftovers/sandwiches/snacks/cheese boards they have at night.. that’s a buffet, no? 😂
