They are also obsessed with chelsea boots which must be the frumpiest shoes I’ve ever seen.

The beauty addicts thread is quite incredible. I have a lot of make up which I am in the process of rehoming but some of these ladies have beauty guru type collections

There's a thread on there at the moment about someone losing a box of Hotel Chocolat and the thread didn't make it to the end of the first page before someone piped up about how it's awful, nasty chocolate, full of palm oil and they prefer artisan du pompidou chocolate. I hate them.

They post shit like this. Heres a picture of me. How old do you think I am and do you think my make up looks expensive? Kind responses only please.

lol this reminds of a poster who every couple of months posts pictures saying how old do you think i am/ what do I need doing?

everyone always blows hot air up her arse saying she looks 30-35 when she clearly doesn’t.

I'm in my early 30s and beginning the process of adopting an older (at least 8-10 years old) child. I don't doubt he or she will be hideously embarrassed by me but I'm not going to start dressing "sensibly" just because I became a mum, thank you Mumsnet

There's a thread at the moment "obsolete fashion rules you still keep" and some people are so snotty about the most trivial things (wearing black with a colour other than white or "bitter chocolate" - do you mean dark brown? Or mixing silver and gold jewellery) And bitchy comments about women they think look chavvy and/or too overweight to wear something. We can't all be yummy mummies you know

Black and dark brown sounds fucking atrocious. They think they're fucking country casuals/modern day Sloane Rangers and they're all boring BHS. No wonder their husbands are always fucking their PA.

I must admit I have never ventured into Style and Beauty (as I have neither) and got banned for not liking Meghan Markle - so sue me. The elderly parents thread is particularly supportive though. I was told if I was a good girl I could come back, but thought nah, fuck it.

Wait, are you not suppose to wear black with colours? So I can't wear black jeans with a pink top? Or black tights and a coloured dress. I've never heard anything so stupid, no wonder they all look so dowdy.

What do I wear under my rainbow cardi then?

God I can't think of anything worse than a "statement necklace".

Mumsnet crew and their anal beads round their neck. Shite.

How often do you change your bedding is a constant reoccurrence.. it's like asking how often do you change your bra
Why do you have to ask ? Surely its baiting the filthiest

MN is a toxic toxic place.
I sometimes go on the wedding forum, i don't know why because they're generally vile and all show off that they spent under £250 on their whole wedding and if you dare spend more you're stupid, and showy and wasting your money. They will be vile to you if you suggest spending a bit of money on your wedding.
Every MN has worn a second hand, hand me down wedding dress that their aunt Phyllis wore, they didn't have a photographer or any guests and refused to spend any money on any wedding ring. If you ask about wedding cake suggestions you get a tirade of "that's so wasteful" ..."we didn't have a cake"..."who has a wedding cake on their wedding"

I hadnt even seen this before I posted

I went to a wedding in islington I think, it was the town hall , they put an ad on craigslist or FB or something.. it might have been MN . I didnt know them , I had a day off work , there was me and another ad replier . We were the only 2 there .. I wore my best frock . I took 2 photos of them on my phone and emailed them over .
One of my best memories and one of the many random shit I've done

Also do not DARE make any mention of presents/gift lists etc on your wedding invites as it’s terribly vulgar according to the MN wise ones

I'm planning a wedding at the moment and this annoys me. I don't care if you got married in your lunch break, wearing your overalls from work, had a quick McDonald's and back to the job. If that's your dream wedding, great! But others are free to spend their money on whatever they want

Yep . Horses for courses . Ive been to top notch 25k+ weddings and bog standard islington register office . Both very fond memories. And ones in between I can't remember
Ive been with Mr Duck 26 years . Never married , 3 children and a grandbaby. I want 2 randoms to come witness it and a piss up in the ' VIP ' area of my local ' spoons because I like it , I work there and get a discount. We like the prawns £10.95 for 3 plates , if I drink in there Mr Duck insists I bring home prawns . I like , he likes , what's not to like.. paying silly amount for family I dont even see from one year to the next and to get pissed at my expense can do one ..

On a thread where someone calls Louboutins "common" and brags of having several pairs but now not knowing what to do with them, someone else responded with: "Only on Mumsnet would shoes worth hundreds be seen as common." We do like a bit of self-awareness
