She's an utter c&nt showing personal appointments. šŸ˜”šŸ˜”

Finally remembered she's got daughters? What's she floggging.? Planners?
---
On another note, she doesn't have much in that calendar for a busy mum of 3? šŸ˜‚

How can they have a medical appointment for Poppy and be in Mallorca at the same time? Is Poppy not going to be on holiday with them?!

Mine is colour coded - different colour for each child. Looks like a rainbow šŸ˜‚

Sheā€™s dying to use P for content these days

Her calendar page is June - that was her chums holiday the other week

Thereā€™s someoneā€™s address top right too
No it's where the appointment was.
Shw is not half making the class thing into something isn't she? That said. I didn't realise they mixed it up at primary nowadays.
I think it's the 'middlist' child with the school issue, not necessarily P.

How does the end of school process work in Scotland compared to England? Here (England) we get told the new teacher near the end of term, are there big changes like kids from different schools being mixed in Scotland? I'm trying to understand her anxiety, I've had 3 kids finish primary and one still there and this is not something I recognise in me or any other parents I known over the years so I'm guessing I'm missing something about the way it works?!

The classes get mixed. So youā€™re not with the same kids the whole way through. I think itā€™s to break up cliques and encourage wider friendship groups.

I imagine she doesnā€™t give a tit about the kids itā€™ll be more about anxiety for her and which ā€œchumsā€ she can stand with on the playground!!!!

Itā€™s more to do with the numbers of P7s leaving, the numbers of P1s coming in, the budget the school has for teaching staff, and the allocation of student teachers and PSAā€™s.

Thanks, happens in lots of schools here too then, only happens in some years at our school depending on class dynamics. Only one of my kids has been in one of these classes and it did cause drama for some but that was because it was such a rare occurrence. I think this is another display of Beggyā€™s boredom, most people donā€™t have time to get worked up over this stuff, I also think this sort of behaviour is picked up on by kids and they then have to carry that in their lives going forward which is unfair.

So it is totally different, do kids start (P1) the September after they turn 4? When do you go to secondary (academy?) in Scotland?

Some local authorities are mixing it up (which is a whole other story!!) but generally, if a child is born between March and August, they start school in the August of that year that they turn 5. If child is born between September and February, they can start school at 4, or they can be deferred until the following August. Very complicated!!

They can start the august after they turn 4 or 5 you can chose. They start academy at either 11 or 12 depending on when there birthday is.
My eldest started P1 at age 4 and started Academy at 11 (October Birthday) - deferred entrance till age 5 wasnā€™t a thing unless you had a Jan/Feb birthday when he started school. Itā€™s changed a lot recently and many more parents are deferring till age 5

In Scotland they have to be in school in the august after theyā€™ve turned 5, and deferring even October/November birthdays is common now so that you have p1s starting at over 5.5.

At my kids primary they find out the new classes tomorrow, sheā€™s got way too much time on her hands to be stressing.

Ah thatā€™s interesting. I only know from family and where they are itā€™s been a big thing about socialising and moving ā€œtroublesomeā€ kids which is an issue all of its own šŸ™„ But those are smaller country schools where itā€™s normally a bit of an equilibrium numbers and money wise

I heard that schools donā€™t tell the parents/kids until the last day of term so they donā€™t end up inundated with calls from parents like Rebekah who donā€™t agree with class changes and demand their kids be moved. Gives them the whole of summer holidays to calm the duck down

We found out on Tuesday, which is very early. Not like our council to be on the ball.

My children go to a large school where mixing classes every year is common but it allows them to broaden their friendship group and by the end of the year they are friends with everyone, which is nice.
