I have wanted to say this too. My daughter is very similar in age and exactly the same as your nephew. Plus my house is full of colourful plastic toys everywhere! But my heart breaks for Ronnie he really needs some speech and language intensive interaction to engage him in the first instance then start to work on his own interaction skills. I hope they are seeking support rather than just plastering him all over instagram.I’ve posted a few times about Ron and almost feel mean but my nephew is the exact same age (2 days difference) and they are worlds apart.
He Is putting sentences together now and tells you exactly what he wants for example he might say “juice please mum” and we will say orange or black currant and he will reply “Nackcubbant” because he can’t say it properly
My point is we all talk to him all day long and he learns new words everyday. Even if it’s repeating something he shouldn’t of heard like “oh shit”
He tells us what he wants, what he wants to watch, “let’s do painting” or let’s play x,y or z.
He has interests and things he loves, dinosaurs, animals (he will name almost all of them) football, stickers, he loves helping in the kitchen and always says let’s cook mum
My heart really hurts for little Ron he always looks so distant and unsure of what’s going on or what he should be doing
