If you don’t like IG delete the app. Oh I forgot, no IG no freebies, no money coming in and back to your “real” job where you’ll have to do more than one shift a week and you don’t want that do you? No, so wind your neck in, pull up your big girl pants and get on with it.

I've just read the article about the previous owners, they spent 4 years and 85k renovating that house, the article is from Feb 2018. They hired a builder, it wasn't like it was a home cooked job. Yet the OD's are claiming its a ramshakle falling down mess, can't help but think the family of 6 that moved in have trashed the place and are repairing their own damage.

Clemmie has said her midwifery role is a “selfless” job. To me that’s patronising as most midwives are using their midwife salary to buy food and pay the bills. Not get a sainthood (or.....translation: keep things ticking over so you can flog more stuff on the gram)

The latest FOD post just looks so very contrived. The twins have obviously been instructed to 'climb on the bed and give Mummy a kiss..........no, hang on, Ottilie move this way because you're blocking your sister.........Clemmie you need to move your pillow to the left..... that's it....no, wait, Ottilie you weren't pretending to kiss Mummy, put your lips together like this..........no, like THIS............LIKE THIS............right, one last time...............'

Ahh, those spontaneous and intimate shots are just so very, very precious aren't they?

The confusion comes from the fact they suggest everything is open and talked about in their house (periods, privates etc, etc) yet FoD still writes about them laughing about willies in changing rooms. If it's all so normal and nothing extraordinary....it still creates stories somehow in the narrative? I don't get that.

Charity work could be described as “selfless”. A paid job is not “selfless”. Particularly not when you’re only doing the job so you can keep followers interested and flog them jewellery with bears or lions on.

Have you seen this article. I don’t think it’s even occurred to Clemmie that there could be a cost to FOD. They make the “heartbreaking” “compromise” to agree to all of St Clemmie’s wants:

Clemmie’s perfect house (FOD wanted somewhere modern), near Clemmie’s mum and siblings. FOD wanted to move to Bristol where his family is from plus his company have a big office in Bristol. Now he’s stuck working from home miles away from family and friends. Would feel sorry for him but he’s been far more dishonest than Clemmie about advertising.
Also, I’m sorry, but ‘the Londoner who finally left’ is a bit f***ing dramatic. She was 32, had previously lived in Bristol for 3 years training, so its hardly ‘finally’ like she was 97 and realised her dream 🙄🙄🙄
Now I’d like to see ‘the nhs midwife who finally behaved like an nhs midwife’ or ‘the influencer who finally declared’ or ‘the mother who finally stopped sharing her children’ or ‘the flogger who finally had respect for her followers’

I wonder what her colleagues must think? They must know ‘who’ she is. I can’t imagine she has many work friends, she certainly doesn’t talk about them, and isn’t seen socialising with them. They probably don’t pull in enough punters for her.

Some of them will be working long shift patterns (to pick up what she doesn’t) balancing childcare and homes and partners, and she swans in 1 day (a week?!) and clocks off to film a big bucks Reno ([emoji1785]) whilst popping to sainbos and offloading her kids, and not forgetting the use of the NHS to advertise her tacky jewellery. Wonder how many colleagues she empowered with a freebie...

Can’t go down terribly well.
I must admit I mind of feel embarrassed for her, especially when she does those 'exhausted midwife' posts/storie s on her way home on the train. I'm sure most of her colleagues want to give her a kick moaning about working one day a week, not to mention how many freebie luxury holidays she gets.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it really hard to not be distracted by Clemmie's teeth? They're far too big and chunky. They look like she bought them off the shelf at Toys R Us. Were they a freebie? If so, I guess she can't sue the dentist.

And, yes, hats off to Marnie. However, she shouldn't be responsible for taking care of her younger sisters because her Dad is post operative and her Mum has buggered off for the weekend yet again.

Marnie is at school five days a week and deserves to chill at the weekends. Her Mum only works one day a week, she doesn't need or deserve relaxing weekend breaks away (away from WHAT, exactly? A life of insta-lunches and opening freebies is hardly arduous is it).

I haven’t seen any Gousto advertising from The Hoopers since April despite being in a paid partnership with them.

How does a paid partnership work , would Gousto expect regular mentions or stories from Simon or is it more subtle?

Is there nothing Clemmie won’t share and despite having a degree as a Midwife , is she a bit bloody dim?

She started her period whilst in the car on the way to France and was wearing white jeans , surely she had an inkling it was on the cards and should’ve been better prepared .

Did it really happen? , is she fishing for engagement and is going to reveal a paid partnership with a stain removal brand? I just don’t know.

Before she became St Clemmie, Patron St of Midwives™️, and way before she adopted this holier than thou attitude, she was always getting into arguments behind the scenes. The Kim K thing was the pinnacle. She always did it through DM’s though, so it wasn’t on her feed. She had that massive spat with Danielle Parry. I think she had form for sending bitchy messages to people who’d upset her, then doing a ‘poor me’ story so that her followers would go after whoever had pissed her off. She’s nasty.

Simon is the one who wouldn’t post anything like that because he’s the ruthless one of the two of them. Wouldn’t want to lose any of his American following! Feminist dad, but only up til the point it doesn’t harm his own profile and profit. Periods! That’s nice and safe for him! Plenty of likes, doesn’t have to deal with anything challenging

Glad someone uploaded a screen shot, she's edited out the low expectations. I just can't even with this, we had one single holiday abroad at a eurocamp that we couldn't even afford but we decided to splash out. At this point she seems to just be a parody account trying to drop absolute clangers.

Shocking, the countryside can be a nice place to go on holiday and going by car is fine 🙄

The bit about her children not needing a beach holiday?! No one, not ever “needs” a beach holiday 🙄 heard it all now 😂 sounds like she’s raising her kids to be as entitled as their truly delightful parents.

Clemmie’s return home through the front door after her night out wasn’t meticulously planned at all🤔, ready to upload to the ‘gram for the fangirls and boys to swoon over.
and she came in holding the dog

Completely agree. But MOD has form for happily letting the fan girls tear apart anyone who dares disagree or possibly criticise.

Helps the echo chamber

“I’ve had low expectations of this holiday”
What an ungrateful, spoilt little brat. A lot of people can only dream of a week long holiday in France with their family. Urghh this post has made my blood boil she has zero self awareness. Also it’s a bit strange that neither her or FOD have shown the inside of the property - I imagine it’s ultra luxe give the scenic location and outdoor pool which makes her more of ungrateful cow.
So spoilt. As you say a weeks holiday in France is something that is far from the reach of many people.

And suggesting it’s so good to see FOD without his phone and not working? Or do you mean ‘taking pictures that mean our children have no privacy that he is willing to share for a few quid’.

And poor Clemmie having to escape to France whilst yet another high end renovation takes place in her house.

Wtf has happened to FOD?

He’s literally just posted a tasteful, good post without embarrassing his kids or being a twat?

I hear what you’re saying from a ‘business’ perspective but I’d really like to reign in my cynicism just a bit and hope it’s more than just that. After all, she trained and qualified as a midwife long before IG?
I’m not being cynical, it’s the best post she’s done in ages and the kind of thing I’d really like to see her using her reach for, it’s been used for holidays, flooring and sofas for way too long. But MOD is no longer an empowering midwife, she does less than a shift a week and is a full time influencer. It would be foolish to pretend otherwise.

Does anybody else get irrationally annoyed at the phrase ‘adult headache’ or is it just me?
Yes, yes, yes! I started following MOD because I liked her style, and I'm pretty sure the point I started to go off her was when she starting going on about 'adult headaches'. It's a fucking hangover!!!

  • Quite a few of them have posted that recently - Susie Verrill did the other day too.
They are such utter morons. They use followers to make money and have a lavish lifestyle, but think the downside of flogging their families unacceptable. The sad thing is there will be many of these children who are being exploited grow up and resent their parents profiting from them and their privacy being sold. It’s not the online commenters they need to worry about as much as their children.

Well you won’t be carrying everything including the kitchen sink into fields in festivals FOD because you and your family always stay in Airbnb’s because camping like the mortals you rip off is way too slummy for the Hoopers.

Interesting to hear Mary Creagh, the Labour MP, talking about the role that social media plays in the huge over-consumption of fast fashion. These influencers who promote endless "need, need, need", whether it be for their "renos", endless holidays, festivals or untagged clothes really need to understand the impact of their greedy lifestyles. Guess we are due a #shopyour(gifted)dressingroom post very soon, or at least the sainted one in scrubs.
