I fully recommend an elective if you think that is the best for your circumstances and past experience. For me I did not want to risk a VBac delivery. Not a chance, especially when they said oh the risks are uterine eruption (?). I had an emergency section the first time and then had an elective for my second. Hands down, it was an amazing experience. I can say I loved the birth, it was surreal and actually enjoyable - maybe I was just on a high (not a Millie high lol) for meeting my second baby. I was in for a week with my first as I had complications with the emergency but out the next evening for my second (having had the baby the previous morning). For my elective I had to have the catheter in for 24 hours (I assume this is normal but I read that some hospitals remove it sooner actually) and once they whip that out they want to keep you until you do a big old wee! The first time you edge yourself off the bed - I won’t lie it effing hurts! They encourage you to “walk” as soon as you can and if you move slowly and surely it’s the road to recovery! For weeks after I was tender and walking slowly. It hurts to laugh or sneeze and very tender to move off the bed. You still bleed loads vaginally too.
Everybody I know who has opted to have their next child by section has been pleased it all went well.
Back to Millie, I too presumed she was having a section since it just seemed too convenient that she signed off Insta on the Thursday saying bye for now, then was papped at the precisely the time they left for the hospital the very next morning. No shade at all, if she did she chose to and I don’t blame her as maybe she felt it safer during the pandemic. If she did I do hope she owns it and is proud. She does have a lot of followers and there’s nothing bad about opting for a section etc.
Wow I’m shocked to read she did a lot of drugs. But then when you say the rich kids do then it makes sense - they’re not that bright!
