Agreed. She took him playing around seriously and ended things, I don't think she'd mug herself off for the sake of the publicity, they wouldn't have left it so long if it wasn't organic. He's also nowhere near as big as he was at the point when they split up either so it doesn't even make sense.
I also don't really think she comes across as that arrogant, she's obv gorgeous and knows it but why is that a problem? I absolutely hated her on Radio 1 and when she was everywhere but I don't think she's a bad girl at all
I think before she hated that everyone just saw her as his girlfriend. Before it was Stormzys girlfriend Maya, whereas now it is Maya who's boyfriend is.
I don't think she would date anyone that didn't have a public profile. Every one knows who he is now. He has made his mark, so no need for him to constantly be everywhere. He is just doing his thing and making appearances at the right places.
I don't think she is mean and is very beautiful. There just seems to be an air of arrogance about her.

Gutted they’ve split honestly thought this would be it for them and they would end up married with kids 
He cheated and that's hard to get past.It tends to haunt a relationship.
I think he was obsessed with and in love with the version of Maya from the past who he fell in love with but what he probably didn’t think about is that all those years they were broken up a lot happened in those years she was engaged to someone else at one point , her career took off even more so the lifestyle she now lives and enjoys is probably kind of different to what he remembers and as a person she’s changed which is natural people grow and change.
This is my opinion but I do think he lived in the past a lot all the songs he would write about her were about when they were together and in love and I don’t think he ever fully got over her and moved on cause he was always holding onto the past hoping they would get back together whereas I do think she detached herself more than he did after they broke up the last time and if I had to guess I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the one who wanted to end the relationship this time instead of being mutual I would guess it was her who brought up the discussion to end things and maybe he is absolutely fine with things ending and my opinion could be very wrong but for how obsessed he has always been about Maya I would be surprised if he wanted let her go but at the same time maybe he noticed how much she’s changed and he realised she’s not the Maya from the past that he has always had on his mind.

Sometimes time apart can make people come back together and it does work out but he’s said in the past he disrespected her and that’s why they broke up so whether that’s cause of cheating or something else , that can really damage a relationship and even if you say sorry and get back on good terms with each other that doesn’t always mean the damage can be reversed because that kind of hurt can change things and cause detachment so things never feel the same again no matter how hard you try that same level of love doesn’t always come back again.

I like the fairytale notion of them coming back together and being together forever but honestly the statement makes sense. They were apart for 5 years, that’s a lot of growing separately.
