Yep! She's an attractive woman, but humility isn't in her DNA whatsoever. She gets on my bloody nerves and the publicity she'll now get as a result of presenting Love Island will make her even worse.
Why does she imitate Caribbean lingo when she speaks it’s cringy.When she wants to talk about her forehead she’s Somali It’s like she takes on different characters to blend in to black culture but being mixed she has the privilege of having quiet a successful career that dark skinned people don’t get.
What is the nonsense about ‘hardly took any pics all night’ and ‘only pic I took alone the whole night.’ Honestly must be a) a generation thing and I’m an old bag. b) completely self absorbed and needs any time away from social media to be congratulated. c) she is buying into her own celebrity and thinks that people are waiting with bated breath for her pictures of a night out.
She has always been SUPER vain. I understand it because she is beautiful, but it's so off-putting. Aging will absolutely kill her, because she has nothing going for her outside of her image.
She's always had a fantastic figure, big bum (when she's bigger), small waist, but I'd also bet money she's had work done.

The press coverage in recent mths with her fake engagement (they were never actually gonna go through with a wedding - flexing with a fancy ring, for a while, was far more fun) has been enough!
Maya is definitely smug and vain, growing up very beautiful can do that to a person I guess. She’s not funny in the slightest esp with her OTT trying to be a goofball online schtick that she does, pulling weird faces and doing silly dances. It’s classic ‘beautiful person who’s been tricked into thinking they’re funnier and more interesting than they are because they’re beautiful’ syndrome.
It’s the same thing that holds her back as a presenter imo. She coasts by doing the bare minimum and people mistake her for being far better at her job than she actually is. Love Island is by far her plummiest gig to date so I’m interested to see how she does. Ever since her old tweets got leaked I’ve had a fairly low opinion of her, they were quite vile and she would’ve been 18-20ish writing them so imo it’s a reflection of her character and not just childish folly.

I stopped following her so I don't know if I'm missing something deeper but I agree. She seems refreshing at first because it's like wow she's stunning but she doesn't take herself seriously to the point she will post herself pulling the ugliest faces. But after a few minutes you realise that's all she has.
She's not that funny (beyond acting silly so fine, if slapstick is your thing) and she doesn't know how to control a room/interview because she's too focused on being the entertainment.
I think she might work on LI because she's warm, personable and with LI you don't really need to ask pressing questions.
Also, anyone would look like an amazing presenter compared to Laura Whitmore, because you just have to seem alive. That alone will do a lot for her.
Going by Glow Up, I can't see her being that great for Love Island. She didn't come across as a people person in the sense that it seemed like she didn't know what to say to them during general chit chat conversations and I found her to be quite awkward at times. It doesn't come natural to her.
