Love the rock and watched that video and he was pretty clear that the reason he found it so tough was because his kids and wife also got it and he struggled because he couldn’t protect them. He’s an articulate man and there was no mistaking what he meant in my opinion. Matt definitely skewed it,which doesn’t surprise me(not saying that covid wouldn’t be absolutely horrific for some people and definitely the worse thing they had gone through, but the physical part of the illness did not seem to be the bit the rock struggled with most).
Yes, Matt has a trend of skewing things to fit his own narrative which I don't like.

Apart from promoting his Christmas film in the run up to the festive season, Mr H has been very quiet lately.

I read that he has been quite unwell. His output did seem almost manic to me. I wonder if he’s had another breakdown?

Thanks for explaining. I thought they used info from family members, but wasn't sure if this was as common with adults.
I had to submit my old school reports too (not a possibility for everyone, but fortunately mum had held on to them). The consistency of certain themes really stood out!

we've got a Hattie Gladwell thread now if you want some quieter grifter entertainment 🙂

I'm struggling a bit too at the minute, like when will everything be ok? just remember that you are better than all these grifting twats 🤗
Totes! I may pop over to see you all… I miss the craic.

Sorry things are rubbish too. In the words of karaoke Ian, we just need to HoLd On. Seriously though, sending you hugs through the tattleverse 🤗.

There's a bit more to it than that - they try to get information from family members for example to get a picture of what you were like as a child, as one of the criteria is that you've presented with the 'symptoms' throughout your whole life. But if you really want the diagnosis I'm sure there are ways round that, e.g. if you say your family are unsupportive and don't believe in autism then I highly doubt they'd deny you a diagnosis on that basis.

nice for him that he got a relatively quick diagnosis, is it not?

call me cynical, but wouldn't it be nice if he could signpost those of us who might be thinking we have something else going on other than depression and anxiety to the seemingly very efficient services he's managed to access?

also, jack could have totally written this

I'm no expert on the subject, but afaik autism is diagnosed through an interview with a specialist and I think the format's like a questionnaire? This means that, if someone is hunting for a diagnosis, it would be easy to answer in a way that secures the diagnosis even if there are other conditions which are a better fit.

I listened to the Tattle bit of the podcast and I *think* he said people who post here are envious. Yes. Of course that has to be it. Sigh.
I *think* this is what he says "...it sounds really pathetic but it is a kind of envy, it's not, it's not justified envy. They don't actually realise that people are human beings and have exactly the sort of, same ups and downs and fluctuations that everyone else does. But if you've never had what they imagine that is then I suppose it's a way to say my problems are because of a lack of something".
It's not exactly verbatim but best I could manage.
I have no idea wtf the last part is supposed to mean I don't know if the "my problems referred to are his problems or the commenters' problems. Never mind what he's never had that we imagine he has?!

Another deeply profound irritatingly vague post. People are complicated seems to be the gist.
I *think* he is talking about Chrissy Teigen. But then again who knows.

I find it really jarring to see his latest post on misogyny (relevant, valid and one that I agree with) alongside his story, posted from someone else, highlighting how many people are reading his book on a train.

It leaves a nasty taste in the mouth and in my opinion just shows the narcissism through and through.
