At one of his own conferences he was pretty much shown up by one of his guest speakers - who was a woman - and because her talk was so much better than his he made a point of having little digs at her during his and it was just embarrassing.
People could see what he was trying to do and I know a lot of attendees thought he was awful, who were previous ‘fans’
A friend and I left his last Belfast conference (we'd planned to stay the whole day session) as neither of us could stand the sexist 'banter' that he was spouting. EVERYTHING that was discussed lead to digs about 'silly women' and 'blaming everything on hormones' etc etc. It was dismissive and pretty unprofessional I found. I had high hopes for the conference but really came away with my eyes open about him.

Stuff like this really pissed me off. People are not performing monkeys who can do everything. You either want a nutritionist or you want a content creator, you can’t get both especially for those peanuts .

Also what’s with the “no home working allowed” if the job can be done from home during Covid, then they have to! It seems quite spiteful

The onyl organisations and departments not supporting home or part remote working these days are those with Luddite leaders who fear giving up control and don’t want to empower or trust their staff rather, they want to control Abs monitor them. It went out with the arc. If GP surgeries , colleges, unis government departments and investment banks can make it work, I’m sure he could.

Why would his staff need flexibility and work out of hours, i always found it unusual they would be so much staff at the office late a night. Yes i guess they have international customers but generally the content they produce is not live and i'm sure emails could wait until the next working day. It sounds like a toxic work place.

I guess if they have events or late in the day exams would be the main legit reasons.

My specialism is high end recruitment and Head hunting in a specific industry, and department. I rarely work junior roles but occasionally I help clients out with them.
If my client gave me that job description I would be seriously questioning what type of candidate they wanted. No self respecting person with a masters would or should work for that salary unless they were desperate. The minute they had the opportunity they'd be out of there, especially with those working conditions.
Another reason he has such high staff turn over. One of the lost damaging things a business can have is a high staff turn over. It damages both productivity and reputation.

It's clearly a horrible clicky place to work, where the staff are over worked and under appreciated. I think someone would be safer working for Sports Direct by the sounds of it.

I'd love to know what he makes them go through during the interview, i remember watching Corry's story at the time and it was a full on day affair, with quite few people. No doubt it will feature some inappropriate remarks, looking after Orly and Arlo and photoskills to make a short person look tall/muscular.

You can bet that 40hrs a week is a minimum. Any less and you'll get passive aggressive comments about not appreciating the amazing opportunity that he's given to you.

I think he assumes his workplace is far superior to anywhere else and you should jump at the change to work for him! Anyone that complains the pay is too low would just go over martins head as he’s so far removed from the real world and has such a high opinion of himself he thinks they should work for him for free and grovel at that!
