In the petition post his mother made she said she has often called him down from the bridge so where was she when he was crying suicide the other day so I’m surprised she didn’t step in, unless she knows he’s crying wolf all the time
I have been detained by the mental health team before following a suicide attempt. When they sent me home, I was given a referral to a specialist therapist and a proper printed pamphlet with emergency numbers in case I needed them (Samaritans etc), so yes, you’re correct.
At the time, I was living very close to where Marcus is living. So yeah, I call bullshit on this.
I highly doubt he’s autistic - I think he has been fed this narrative by his manipulative mother for them to financially benefit . The nature versus nurture argument lights up in my brain when I think if Marcus and his alleged autism.
He is clearly romanticising but very much like the way we all do over our first love , first person we felt a connection with- this male gave him attention and Marcus had clearly not had that before and immediately presumed the guy loved him for being so attentive. To be fair , the guy was probably off his chops, and an extrovert who thrived on attention off anyone.
Something intimate could have happened , but this Stephen was in some world that involved drugs and alcohol .These scenarios are very complex. I’ve been in these worlds, ‘straight’ people do cross lines , but then hop back onto being straight when the dust has settled . It’s not right , but it happens ten and plenty.
Marcus is young and not lived , he’s loooking at the situation all wrong , but I would say we have all done the same when young or met that person we really fancy , and they’re simply not into us. I must add though , it is not ok to mislead so many people over a Suicide attempt. That is not good

Now that is an interesting point of view! I know someone actively trying to get a diagnosis of autism off their records who suspects they were only diagnosed due to a very pushy mother and said mother leaving out huge important facts to professionals and even lying about "symptoms" purely for the DLA money. So I know there are mothers out there who are willing to stoop so low!
The thing that gets me the most though, even though we know he was never going to do it, on the "suicide note" he mentioned being reunited with Stephen, the poor lad never wanted to know him alive so what makes him think he'll be at the pearly gates waiting for him? He's deluded honestly think he's become obsessed/ infatuated with him and that's why he stopped bothering with him in the first place
this is a really interesting POV I’ve never considered him not being autistic tbh, is there anything in particular that makes you think he’s not? The obsession with this guy and his mood swings and inability to stick to something, I thought they were autistic traits but I’m not very informed on the situation tbh

Whoever said he recycles posts is spot on. I saw the same posts about 5 different times over and over
the amount of memes out there .. he could have done so much more!!
Not one mention of OCD. he does talk about Autism a lot and about anxiety in general but not one word about OCD which is a bit random for saying he's literally mentioned it in the last day that he has it .. came out of nowhere! Surely if you advocate for mental health you would lay it all on the table what you are dealing with so I wonder how long he has been dealing with this and what it is for him (I'm only curious as I previously had OCD which I was able to overcome)
I'm not saying he has to hide his own feelings but with his account it would be great for him to champion mental health and showcase positive steps ... He's just spiralling into a depressive state and dare I say it getting addicted to the pity party and the attention it's bringing
