Hell the money could’ve even gone toward getting his own place, okay £22 isn’t much but it’s still something to keep in the pot. Where does he get the money from

the coffee thing is a way for his followers to send him cash, even though it’s called ‘get me a coffee’ it doesn’t mean he’ll literally get a coffee, it’s just a way of encouraging people to send cash ‘look, you don’t have to send much, just the price of a cup of coffee’
Council will use hotels like Travelodge etc when they over subscribed with those who are classed as homeless. I suspect that his mother has finally had enough and kicked him out for being a danger although Marcus is currently passively aggressively trying to hint at another narrative. I’ve said for a long time that no one would blame her for booting him out given his behaviour and lack of engagement with any sort of change.
Basically he’s classed as homeless and the council will shortly decide where he lives.
