I feel you guys will appreciate this more than my family have…. I did a £35 shop in m and s food yesterday and scanned my sparks card and actually won my shopping!!!!

i think you’ll only enjoy it if you are a passion fruit lover, it’s very sweet but i personally thought it was lovely
Love the flavour, hate the seeds stuck in teeth!

Amazing! I wonder what the odds for that are? Even if I was a millionaire that would make my day, unless all I'd bought was an avocado and a few yellow stickered things

I’ve had a real run of bad luck this year and this genuinely gave me such a boost yesterday!

Right I’m off to M&S which can cocktails do i need to get!?
The porn star martini (called passion fruit martini I think) they also do a raspberry version which is nice too! I also like the pina coladas once you’ve got over the fact they’re fizzy (fizzy coconut milk was an odd feeling at first 😂)

I didn’t like the mojito much, too limey have me acid reflux.

This is fantastic! I’m so happy for you, total stranger!

I‘m in North London, my nearest is Camden or Archway. The one at Green Park is great though. I have been doing some work nearby and I can’t stop stopping there. They have everything I like

I personally liked the mojito but it's one of my favourite cocktails anyway. The M&S version is pretty good for a pre mixed can, the Aldi one tasted like mouthwash and I binned it.

Has anyone tried the M&S Cornish Cruncher cheese? It's delicious!
They used to do a dip version of this a few years ago, you heated it in the microwave and it was essentially just melted cheese dip, it was heavenly

Do they do any kind of feta and yogurt dip? Waitrose does a good one. Sainsburys used to do a great one years ago.

I had a raspberry mojito last night and the porn star martini.

I didnt like the PS martini, had a weird after taste but the raspberry mojito was lovely.

There are rumours that M&S is opening a foodhall on my high street and honestly that combined with the Gails Bakery that just opened means I never want to move 😂
Haha you must live in one of the most expensive areas in the UK. Gails is amazing, I will go bankrupt if I live near one

Sadly that’s true, in Surrey.. We do have a Greggs and Spoons too though so there’s something for the rest of the month when I’ve spent my budget in M&S 😂

I personally think Gail’s is very overrated. It’s a chain and mostly run by venture capitalists. I tried the one in South Kensington many years ago, when they first opened and was underwhelmed. There’s now one not very far from me, either a 15-20 minute walk at least or a car journey and I’ve tried a few things for takeaway like the cinnamon bun/roll which was just OK.

Gail‘a are now supposed to be opening up just off my local high street in a place that had already been renovated by an independent bakers who were forced out with a rent rise just before lockdown. It was also to do with the fact that Gail’s
offered a higher rent. Gail’s still hasn‘t opened there yet.

If you are in the London area, as far as chains go, try Ole & Steen, a Danish bakery who are mostly in London.

I’d rather give my money to an independent bakery now though, and luckily we have quite a few of them in the area who also supply to smaller cafes here that you can takeaway from. Many micro bakers started working from home during lockdown. There might be one in your area.

I also like Karaway Bakery which has a presence in Borough Market (now open Sundays!), at Westfield East and at some farmer’s markets. They are East European and also supply some bread to Ocado.

BreadBread (Herne Hill and at markets)

BreadAhead (Borough Market now open on Sunday )

LB Pedlar, available at Spa Terminus, Pimlico, Kings Cross and Primrose Hill,

Dusty Knuckle, Dalston, E London, they also have a milk float that drives round various parts of East/Northand South London,

Maya’s Bakehouse and Aries Bakehouse (both in Brixton) are other ones to try.

BreadandButler in Deptford

Thoroughbread in Forest Hill micro bakery and they deliver in the area

Margot Bakery, East Finchley

Happy Sky Japanese Bakery in W12 and with various pop ups including Piccadilly Circus this summer
