Not to mention that some of the things people were asking for advice about were hinting towards serious mental health problems/dangerous living conditions. It worried me that the Facebook group was their only source of advice? And that when they were writing the questions down that they didn't think once 'actually as I am writing this I can see this is not a good position for me to be in'?

So glad to have found this thread after literally being bullied by Lucy and a group of nobs!

Such a toxic toxic space she created and supported!

Has she responded?
Yeah she did. People made some good points actually about how if she wants moderator work done on her facebook group then she should fucking pay them, especially since that facebook group makes her profit in return and is an essential part of her brand. Lucy said that she was giving people a free app subscription and people did not have to volunteer if they didn't want too looool OH, and she pays her other staff well.

Literally asking for volunteering staff for an influencers facebook group I am doneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I honestly think she’s just not cut out to be a “big” public figure. I reckon she started her infographics, they gained her a fair chunk of likes, she posted the Sarah thing and completely blew up gaining followers who have no interest in fitness. But she’s got to have a nobs crew tho?? I imagine she’s got people to help her with her social media presence and I completely agree with what’s been said above,

if they were they would have advised her against posting the moderator job as a volunteer position
I feel like no one really thought about it because they didn’t expect people to not agree with this as she’s our kinder bueno queen and that. It’s simply impossible to run a “fan” space as an influencer, because, see this source -https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/your-online-secrets/201607/youre-not-really-friends-internet-celebrity . It’s just so textbook!! It’s p much like those tumblr posts in 2012 where it says “don’t give up because i care” and it’s got 2 million reblogs and the poster couldn’t give less of a shit what you’re going through lool

I’m just upset I took the same bait w Lucy… like girl….

it’s ‘ableist’ to be against volunteer work
I don't think most of the people there understood the issue. I'm not against volunteer work. I've volunteered in a soup kitchen for several years now because I know their funding is extremely low. I know who's funding defo isn't low though... it's a different deal giving out food to low income families AND working for free to moderate a massive facebook group while the actual CEO of the company is preaching how important it is to love yourself and not settle for less while at Mykonos. I guess this is just the harsh reality (we live in a society...) because so many clever people do unpaid internships and are paid with "experience" and are esentially being robbed.

i just found this thread and omg that seltzer ad was so annoying, i found it really hypocritical as well like she’s literally getting paid to say it’s good herself? she needs to get over herself her “i’m not like other influencers” crap is so fake and irritating

Tbf some of her friends from home are Indian or Pakistani, I remember she was a bridesmaid for one of them and posted photos at some point back in the summer but my memory is hazy so I apologise for the lack of specifics. But yeah her London friends are veeerrrrrryyyyyy white and I found the racial dynamics in the new advert v strange. It was like... Lucy and her POC backup dancers 😬

So the holiday to Mykonos was after a break up lol.

This girl is all about ‘doing things for herself’ but it’s usually after some big breakup/life event and then it’s back to BAU. The whole point of being comfortable alone isn’t needing to do these grand gestures to prove you can be alone!

I’m sorry I just can’t with her anti diet messaging when she is the definition of pretty blonde white girl. Just doesn’t sit right with me
And she had the audacity to moan a while ago about feeling crap for putting on a couple of pounds and decided to share that with the internet. The tone deaf cow she is. She obviously actively works at keeping thin.

I already said this earlier on but I seriously think some of the posts were just attention seeking (this isn't RE: to mental health problems or dangerous living conditions btw!!). I recall one person in particular who'd post about their bizzare issues like thrice a day to the point where it's like seriously? You again? What is it that you want? Puppy pics or a coconut kinder bueno cake ad off aldi?
I do get it though, I know exactly what it's like when you have no one else to talk to, but especially if you're from a relatively small place and you're out there describing things about your private life so in depth... It's just unsafe and not anonymous, I mean, the world is small. Perhaps it's for the best it got shut down. Although it'd make a ton more sense to delete the group altogether but that'd be bad for business I guess

Mental health reasons apparently, they all had their own shit to deal with, quote from Lucy “Sarah has the move, Tara has her business and I … have my own shit” wonder what she meant 🤨
There's so much self pitying going on in her stories, which is ridiculous given she could have avoided the whole thing with some transparent and fair discussion of the issues people brought up.

She bangs on about women knowing their worth and then essentially wants free labour. You couldn't make this up.

This is what is so manipulative about her 'final statement'. She said she was talking to the group members as though she would a friend, but the thing is, they aren't her friends. They're the ones who are paying for her holidays, her expensive skin and hair care, her spacious one bed flat etc etc. They are commodities to her, not friends. They serve a purpose for her so it makes sense to make them feel as though they mean something to her when in reality they're consumers of her brand.
Exactly. she also used (in my opinion) different ethnicities and larger women as tokens to show people "look how I diverse I am!" But racist comments went massively unchecked in that group and if you said something you'd get accused of bullying. So instead of actually paying people to do something about it she closes it instead? Bullshit

And to add, Lucy definitely had a set of cliquey "ultra fans" that she used at her disposal. Made them feel like they were her friends but really they were free labor to her.

I find her so annoying! Taking the piss out of being *EdGeY* when also trying to be really *EdGeY* 😂 humble bragging about everything, everything is always 'Naunced'. She's just uploaded a story saying she's going for her run so no doubt this will becone her personality for a while like it did when she started cycling. Do people realise that you can go for a run/ go for a cycle without informing the whole world like she's the first person to do it

I'm on that group and it's such a hotbed of toxic positivity (which is basically her brand at this point) that I'm not surprised that the majority of people commenting claimed to see no issue with it
I used to be a member of the Facebook group but the toxic positivity is exactly why I left it and why I unfollowed Lucy. I do still use her first gym guide on the Aflete app because it's a solid workout program but I didn't even go near the Nobs app as it looked pants.

I can't believe she's asking people to work for free then shutting down the group (and thus any debate or discussion) when people call her out. The true definition of gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss.

Been following this thread for ages now. I was also part of the original nobs group, has she advertised that there is a new one? ‘Not every post will resonate with you and that’s ok’ lol don’t know how many times I’ve seen that sentence

The whole asking for people to volunteer /not paying them thing is giving me Grace Beverly vibes from when she would pay her Shreddy content creators peanuts
