I don't think people realise this but most companies import from China and prices are marked up by about 60% or more. You'll be surprised to know that a lot of clothing retailers do the same thing, including the likes of H&M and other big brand names. It's way too expensive for business to justify using UK factories to manufacture the clothes and those who have like Boohoo have used suppliers with unethical practices in Leicester that only pay their employees £3.50 to £4 wages. I do agree with you guys though that Lucy doesn't always seem grateful for what she has and her sales tactics are pushy which puts me off too. I think the thing that annoys me the most is that she claims her material blend is hers and she made it from scratch but this is not the case at all. If you ask a supplier whom doesn't use a specific fabric blend for it they are willing to negotiate because they want your trade. That's how business works. As a customer what you are essentially paying for is a brand and the convenience of buying goods. There's a reason that people don't buy from suppliers directly as a customer as there's a minimum order quantity and it would be way too expensive if you just want a single product of something.

On another note, whoever mentioned Funky Fit they also supply their clothes from China as I use exactly the same supplier for my business and recognise the products. They've even used the mock ups from the supplier profile page. I differentiate from competitors by using 100% original designs created by our designer and not using stock photos or the ones that suppliers provide you with. It's also more fun that way as I get to decide what I want for my designs. I'm pretty sure Lucy now has her own designer but her old ones are from Shutterstock, Adobe Stock and ones her supplier already had at the time.

Hope this helps in some way! I'm glad that I stopped buying from Lucy Locket Loves and have used the money to invest into a business myself as I'm currently a university student.
I don't have a problem with people making a profit, it's people who take the p*ss. It's Lucy's whole ethos that pushes my buttons. She's rude, she's gloating, she camouflages her tax dodges as good deeds, she isn't honest with her followers

I am fine with people making a profit, that's just normal - it's way she's almost doing us a favour selling stuff, and then showing off all the gifts she receives and lovely trips she goes on when loads on that group are probably struggling with money

I won't buy from LLL any more and only buy from others when they have offers on as I refuse to pay over the odds for them, i have since found a shop on Ali express that does hundreds of different designed leggings that are meant to be just as good as funky fit and be your happy place and only cost about £7-8 a pair with free delivery!
£15 is the going rate for casual leggings. Can't expect everything so cheap as companies wouldn't make any profit and they've got to pay for their costs such as paying staff, marketing and admin etc. You should look at Etsy, people charge about £20 on there. Also, if you were to buy a pair of black leggings or something from the supermarket they would also be a similar price. I've bought some leggings from Aliexpress before and the quality was awful but you get what you pay for
the ones I have found are casuals they are high wait with thick band but no pocket, the seller has lots of good reviews and even people on leggings selling sites on facebook have recommended them
Kukubird leggings on Amazon have some good reviews and they're about £11 I think. I have bought the neon cats from them years ago through Amazon.

I totally appreciate that she runs a business, not a charity, so obviously she needs to make a profit. It’s her attitude that I find so unfortunate. She acts like she’s doing everyone a huge favour by selling them
leggings and now various other items of varying quality. When in reality it’s her that should be grateful for their custom! And for the way she guilt trips people constantly when they ask questions on the fb page, or is doing them a favour by setting the group up. When again, it’s for her own benefit - a huge percentage of her sales must come from there! I never begrudge anyone that works hard their success, and I take my hat off to her for building a good business; but I really dislike her attitude and the contempt she shows for the people that have spent their hard earned money on her products and given her this success.

Just an update. I've found exactly the same beanies she sells in all colours on other company websites for about £6 each or less and she's selling them for £18 each. It's ridiculous and I'm shocked people would even pay £18 for hat considering a beanie is only worth about £8 maximum. She's literally just stuck her brand logo on the product and that costs little to nothing.

Her ideas aren't even original but her blind loyal followers will worship her and continue to buy her overpriced items. She claims her business is truthful and transparent but that's not the case at all. I saw another leggings company selling these Beanies but she outright says they're Beechfield.

Amazon also sell Beechfield beanies for £7 ;)

They cost about £8 or less if you buy in bulk from China ;) They're not even a hoodie blanket so they're even cheaper. Lucy is just jumping on the latest trend.

The blankets look like the type of thing you’d find at one of those big outdoor markets ... the sort where there is always a bloke flogging huge amounts of meat out of a lorry while making quips at the housewives about bangers 🤣

This! It seems that another company will release something and no sooner have they done it than there's a post on LLL about the latest secret. I've noticed it a few times...if she had an original idea for once that would be something

Oh how awful. Shops have closed so she's extra busy.

My shop has to close and I'm losing November, having already lost 3 months this year. Then she complains about being busy. Be grateful your business is thriving and picking up when some of us now have to stress about how the hell we get through.
