The statistics are telling me he's a cunt....It’s ludicrous anyone entertains him as an ‘expert’ in the press. This ‘theory’ of his has nothing to do with statistics.

Truly gut wrenching. It’s the stuff of nightmares, real horror. I think it was absolutely intentional. It was about saying that baby belonged to her. I think her obsession with Baby E’s mother was pure hatred. At last!! This is the kind headline and article we need to be seeing. I bet a lot of people with doubts don’t even know about baby E’s mum’s testimony as journalists never gave it much attention.

I feel obliged to say that you have been amazing the whole way through this awful journey @Tofino![]()
Evidence suggesting Lucy Letby tampered with breathing tubes 'not cre…

Sarah Knapton at it againdo they know how ridiculous they all sound when no evidence has even been presented? How can they question and dismiss evidence that’s not even been made public yet. Are they that desperate?
BIB - that is the whole point of it being raised in the inquiry, if they bothered to read the transcript. But bothering to read things doesn’t seem to be their priority
However, neonatologists and statisticians have written to Lady Justice Thirlwall questioning the data.
In a letter seen by The Telegraph, the experts write: “We do not find the assertion credible and are writing to express our deep concerns over the figures presented to the Thirlwall Inquiry with regards to extubation rates.
“The apparent careless presentation of unsubstantiated and uncorroborated figures is likely to create unnecessary distress and harm, and generate additional worry, for example, among parents of babies who were treated at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
“If data quoted is subsequently shown to be robust, reliable and accurate, we question why such a drastic increase went unnoticed and unaddressed for nearly a decade?
“The failure to raise this issue would in that case raise important questions and have profound implications for Liverpool Women’s Hospital (LWH).”
Signatories to the letter include Dr Neil Aiton, a consultant neonatologist and lecturer at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, and Dr Svilena Dimitrova, consultant neonatologist and specialist adviser for the Care Quality Commission (CQC), as well as a medical reviewer for the review of maternity services at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
While the inquiry heard that tubes were dislodged on 40 per cent of Letby’s shifts, other scientists [on Twitter - this is the one I posted the other day] have pointed out that there is extensive scientific literature suggesting that breathing tubes can become dislodged in newborns between one per cent and 80 per cent of the time.
Lucy Easthope, professor in practice of risk and hazard at the University of Durham, also warned that there was a national product recall of breathing tubes for newborns in 2012.
Writing on X, she said: “Is it correct to say that there was an inexplicable rise in dislodged neonatal endotracheal tubes in the year that we saw national major product recall in neonatal endotracheal tubes?
“I expect the inquiry will cover this MHRA alert tomorrow.” [no they wont. Because if you bothered to read you would know it’s the parents giving evidence the next two weeks]
---
However, a paper by Newcastle University in 2016 found that dislodged breathing tubes were common in premature babies – happening an average of six times for infants born at 25 weeks and under, and two times for preterm babies above 25 weeks gestation.
Conflating occurrences per baby with shifts again.
Fag packet maths. Correct me if I’ve missed anything.
A 25 week baby is in hospital on average 107 days.
shifts are 12hrs - baby sees 2 shifts per day
107 days x 2 shifts = 214 shifts per stay.
Six dislodged tubes in 214 shifts = 2.8% rate of occurrence. Far closer to 1% than 40% ffs!
The vast majority of expert witnesses are retired from their field because being an expert witness is almost completely incompatible with having another job (and often a private life!). Expert witnesses are of course usually older because you don’t tend to become an expert overnight. They are just total thickos aren’t they. The next thing they like to criticise is that people get paid for expert witness work.. because people should be forced to give up huge amounts of their time, life and knowledge for freeWhat the simps fail to mention is that Dr Hall who Myers used was also retired. It doesn't mean they are unsuitable as witnesses.
That hospital has failed so badly. Failed to stop a murdering bitch, failed in duty of candour, doctored records and reports to show the narrative they wanted the parents to see dishonest, deceitful, cruel and immoral. Those poor families they must have felt so desperate.Oh wow this is what they found out about the report after the trial. So the Jane Hawdon report had been redacted even for their own son.

I feel like this email is a really interesting window into her personality. Like you said, WHO the hell would send an email like this. It's not for her to send and the whole tone of it is weird. Absolutely 100% power play and God complex at play here. She's loving it.I’m like this at the email she sent to her colleagues to say she had been exonerated and would be returning to the unit. Even in a world where she was wrongly accused, I don’t know how that email could ever be appropriate. It was not for her to send those type of emails!
We always knew her parents accompanied her to the meeting but we didn't know the finer details until yesterday. I always thought they probably attended in a quiet, supportive way. But no they were ruling the roost and the executives present appeared to be intimidated by them to the point of grovelling. Then her audacity to send the high handed email to everyone on the NNU about her exoneration, apology and imminent return. The tea party they arranged and her attitude to everyone is extremely revealing. Letby's parents are now shown to be arrogant and they treated their daughter like a pampered princess.I wonder if we’ll ever get the details of what her Mummy said in the meetings. I wonder if Letby was at salsa with Karen laying it on very thick. Perhaps she used the threat of suicide
I’m LOVING Richard Baker KC."We prefer our monsters to look like monsters. It’s sometimes hard to accept that evil can be banal [...] but we should not be so naive. To be successful a serial killer hides in plain sight."
Richard Baker KC
OOF. Banal.....Richard Baker shade King!
It must also be infuriating for the members of the juries, particularly the first jury who sat and listened and deliberated for 10 months which must have been stressful given the nature of the crimes, to now hear all this from idiots who clearly know very little about the case.So called "experts" are jumping on the bandwagon without knowing the full facts of case. Like not knowing about the post mortems, X rays, how blood tests for infection work or even what actually happened to each baby. Yet they give interviews going on about misuse of statistics, sewage and scapegoating. The Lucy Letby case is being compared to completely different cases such as the post masters and Sally Clark. Must be so infuriating for the baby's families.
Letby attended 'tea party' at unit after being moved to other jobpublished at 16:18 British Summer TimeA tea party?! A fucking tea party?! What the fuck. This is far worse than I was expecting.
There was only one bully on that ward."We did cakes and tea, and she came in and we were all talking, and she did not say a word to us. Yvonne and I were talking a lot to make it nice and relaxed and when she went, we both said, 'oh my God, she is going to make it hard for us when she returns as she seems angry'
40% of her shifts is a massive number. I’m so pleased they can say stuff like this in the inquiry.Holy shit we’re getting info on her time at LWH
