I've got the best story for the worst thing I've had in my mouth, but its so specific and I told everyone at the time, it would 100% give me away if anyone I knew was reading.
Obviously it involves a tinder date from my ag days, and I'm devastated that I can't share it 😂

Evening all. I don't usually comment on the LL threads so I hope you don't mind me barging in now but I wanted to ask you a question if I may?

Those handover sheets that she had stashed in her house. Why do you think she had them? I've been trying to figure that out because obviously she had a shitload of them and as well as the ones with the names of her victims (she is guilty af on all charges) there were also loads of others.
Did she keep them as souvenirs? Had she tried to kill babies on those other handover sheets and not been caught? Was she just such a twit she took home confidential paperwork? What is the general consensus on them?
I think most likely souvenirs, but maybe also a way to remember the names so she could search the families in the aftermath of her actions. The babies’ surnames would’ve been on the handovers, easy enough to go snooping.

Ok not the fastest way ever but I’ve done this successfully before (and since then I’ve built up such a pile of rit you wouldn’t believe, but that’s another story 😂) - you take a month, 30 days. On day 1 you bin 1 item - can be a wardrobe, can be a paper clip or an old birthday card, size doesn’t matter. Day 2 you get rid of 2 things. Day 3, 3. And so on. By the end of the month you’ve got rid of about 400 things. I get competitive with myself so I spend the day looking for what I can bin tomorrow 😂 old knickers, Tupperware, medicine spoons, trinkets from that holiday 19 years ago - GET IN THE BIN. It becomes addictive 😂
Letby’s version
Day 1 - the shredder. Oh tit

Well I appreciate that you replied to me, I was genuinely curious and not meaning to seem confrontational about it. There are even some points in there that have always stuck in my mind too from before she gave her testimony/when I was on the fence. The butterfly needle situation in particular.

I can see why a lot of people might think the scapegoat theory is plausible, especially if you’ve experienced it, it does happen in healthcare there’s a lot of a covering. What I don’t get though is the fact that the hospital raised it with the police themselves. If it was a case of sweeping poor care under the rug, why would they do that? The other thing is the insulin poisonings, which have been agreed by all could only have been on purpose.
It’s ok. At first I thought you were being patronising but I have been here and have looked at everything I can - and I’m just not entirely convinced.

Let’s hope we never see anything like this case again because the other 5 babies bother me. There simply isn’t a smoking gun here but a lot of circumstantial evidence, and as I said before, some of those babies collapsed when LL wasn’t on duty so it doesn’t suit to charge her for those cases because she'll be not guilty - which weakens the cases she is charged for.

Be my guest 😂

I’ve been on the LL threads on and off the entire trial and have swung between not being able to decide and guilty throughout.

For me the case is not proven beyond reasonable doubt. There are 5 other babies deaths she isn’t charged with so what happened to them? We're led to believe these babies were not expected to die, then we're told the unit was taking babies of earlier gestation (was it child G?) than they usually did. The nurses were also caring for more than one baby at a time too which is not best practice.

The babies LL is charged with murdering or trying to also collapsed on other shifts or on days she didn’t work, so naturally she can’t be charged with those attempts, but they happened, along with 5 other deaths, why?

Baby E is the worrying case, and the two triplet brothers 'probably coming back with a bang' from her holiday. With baby E I remember evidence that babies don’t bleed like that, then much later on in the trial that early gestation babies can be prone to haemorrhage?? So I can see why the jury is taking their time to go over everything and learn about what can go wrong, and whether that’s what happened, or they were deliberately hurt.

Baby H had a butterfly needle left in her chest that nobody knew if it had punctured her lung tissue causing the problems she was suffering.

This is one case where I’d like to know more about her background and what she was like as a person before deciding, which of course isn’t allowed. BUT she was either a criminal mastermind hurting and murdering babies without being detected for so long (and I don’t think she’s that clever) or she’s a scapegoat for a badly failing unit, or?

I shared a story early on but I have relatives working in the NHS and I know how the NHS can lie, covers up and protects its own. look how many Trusts and sectors within the NHS are in special measures for failures and bullying.

So before I’d lock her up forever, I’d be taking my time, like the jury is, to come to the right conclusion.
I totally understand all of this, I think you are right about the cover ups, but I don’t think it’s a case of one or the other, I think LL being a SK coexisted alongside a failing unit.

Perhaps she didn’t kill/harm all of these babies, perhaps some of these charges were actually the result of a failing unit and it’s just hiding their failings behind the murderous witch. But I do think there’s enough circumstantial evidence to say she is a SK, and by that reasoning it’s also entirely possible that she’s G of everything.

If you took out the babies where you have doubt over, are you still unsure?

That slug died happy at least. I guess it’s one way of adding protein into your diet 🤣

I need to make some gimmicky healthfood book, like ‘The Slug Protocol’ or something…
Have you heard about the man who was paralysed from eating a slug as a dare?😵

Also @GrunkaLunka unfortunately we don’t know how many other babies are suspected of being victims but just haven’t been included in this case for whatever reason. I seriously hope not but I guess most of those 257 could end up being morbid souvenirs/memory jogs for searching victims on FB depending on what comes out post-trial/post-hummingbird

I think the general consensus is she was keeping the handover Sheets as souvenirs or trophies of her handiwork.

Also during cross examination, she was asked to spell the surname of one of the babies, which was apparently a more difficult name to spell. She spelled it incorrectly. However, she did a Facebook search of this child’s family long after their death. It was alluded to in prosecution that she was using the handover sheet as a reminder of the spelling so she could look up the family for some grief porn.

To me, LL threw the unit into further chaos with her actions. She was the malevolent presence and she exploited the fact that the NHS is on its knees and the hospital was underfunded/lacking.

I wondered if it might also be a way for her to keep track of what she did and when, as there were a lot of attempts made.

Burnt my bloody spinach (was pruning my Cosmos and got carried away) I thought oh it'll be fine it's only a bit, it'll be reet. Oh lord it was rank. Really rank.

So the next question for you all has to be:

What's the WORSE thing you've ever had in your mouth?
Half a frog. Was not very nice. It wasn't cooked either in fact just one minute before it got chopped in half it was alive.

Talking about life hacks, any one got the fastest way know to man to declutter rit, I’m such a dilly dallier and I piss about trying to make decisions and end up shoving stuff out of sight,🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 house isn’t too bad but just want to get more organised super fast so it’s easier to put stuff away and make my life easier.
Oh I'm the queen of decluttering.

Get 3 boxes: Label them Keep, Throw, Charity. And then take one section at a time, even if that means one drawer or one cupboard. Don't try to do too much as it will be overwhelming. If you've not thought about or used something in 6 months then pass it on or whizz it. We keep and accumulate so much over the years and honestly, we don't need it. Also get rid of any repeated items....you're really don't need 7 tin openers 😂
Get everyone involved because it feels so good afterwards.

If you've got a shredder make yourself a nice pile of unneeded paperwork and do it at night as you're sat comfortably watching TV or rip it up and put it into a bowl of warm water, let it soak and when it's maliable squeeze all the water out. It will eventually harden and whatever was typed/written on it will be gone.

I'm a big fan of containers, particularly in the shed. I decant any paint leftovers into a jar and label which room they're from. I have containers for garden items, paintbrushes, screws, nails etc all labelled and stacked neatly.

I respect your opinion. I don’t agree with it, but I respect your right to express it nonetheless.
