Are you one of those people who believe the trial has sat for 10 months on zero evidence too? What’s your take on the whole thing? Genuinely curious.

It is a complex case for sure, but the people who say that over and over again make me want to put my head through a wall.
Be my guest 😂

I’ve been on the LL threads on and off the entire trial and have swung between not being able to decide and guilty throughout.

For me the case is not proven beyond reasonable doubt. There are 5 other babies deaths she isn’t charged with so what happened to them? We're led to believe these babies were not expected to die, then we're told the unit was taking babies of earlier gestation (was it child G?) than they usually did. The nurses were also caring for more than one baby at a time too which is not best practice.

The babies LL is charged with murdering or trying to also collapsed on other shifts or on days she didn’t work, so naturally she can’t be charged with those attempts, but they happened, along with 5 other deaths, why?

Baby E is the worrying case, and the two triplet brothers 'probably coming back with a bang' from her holiday. With baby E I remember evidence that babies don’t bleed like that, then much later on in the trial that early gestation babies can be prone to haemorrhage?? So I can see why the jury is taking their time to go over everything and learn about what can go wrong, and whether that’s what happened, or they were deliberately hurt.

Baby H had a butterfly needle left in her chest that nobody knew if it had punctured her lung tissue causing the problems she was suffering.

This is one case where I’d like to know more about her background and what she was like as a person before deciding, which of course isn’t allowed. BUT she was either a criminal mastermind hurting and murdering babies without being detected for so long (and I don’t think she’s that clever) or she’s a scapegoat for a badly failing unit, or?

I shared a story early on but I have relatives working in the NHS and I know how the NHS can lie, covers up and protects its own. look how many Trusts and sectors within the NHS are in special measures for failures and bullying.

So before I’d lock her up forever, I’d be taking my time, like the jury is, to come to the right conclusion.

I'll start by saying I think she is guilty, although I don't think the jury will come back unanimous unfortunately. However I agree with some other posters that I personally don't think the note is as much of a bombshell as some of you think. In my opinion, I read it as her being a martyr (or her thinking that she is anyway)..
I have family members that always try and play that card and tbh it's hard to deal with.. the amount of times the sentence 'well I'm just a terrible mother and everything is always my fault' has been thrown at me if I ever say anything remotely negative 😕 when I have never even said anything about her parenting or anything like that, it's just to make herself the victim etc...
Anyway that's the way I personally read LLs note, not so much of a confession as a 'poor me I must have done it on purpose because I'm such a terrible nurse boohoo'

Yes! I don’t know how fussy you are but you’ll be surprised with the results… give it a try! Get back to me 🤣
Talking about life hacks, any one got the fastest way know to man to declutter rit, I’m such a dilly dallier and I piss about trying to make decisions and end up shoving stuff out of sight,🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 house isn’t too bad but just want to get more organised super fast so it’s easier to put stuff away and make my life easier.

Perfectly put. At this point i don't wanna hear anybody saying there's not enough witnesses or evidence. >240 witnesses = evidence in abundance, Letbys presence on shift for every event = guilt. Baby E's mums testimony = guilt. If people wanna debate conspiracy tit then just piss off and do it somewhere else.
so someone who doesn’t believe in LL's guilt is a conspiracy theorist now?

This used to be a decent thread for seeing both sides, it’s beginning to descend into a bullyfest. (Especially by one poster who was absolutely convinced that Nicola Bulleys partner murdered her and she was going to make damned sure he was charged for it. Well, we know how that turned out 🤣).

This. I think guilty but the “confession notes” have never really been part of the reason why for me, once I got beyond the initial headline stage of research. I don’t want to say this because I know people will come at me, but I genuinely worry that’s the kind of thing I might write in a panic even if I wasn’t guilty. Well maybe not, but when I was younger? Yes. I think nowadays I’d *think* those thoughts, I don’t think I’d write them down - but that fact makes me believe someone innocent could.

Again though, not an important part of the evidence for me, the entirety of the rest of it makes me think she’s guilty. But if I was on the jury and we had to reach the legal standard of BARD? Don’t envy them. I think there is definitely enough but they’ll quite rightly want to be sure they’re sure and go over everything and down every last dead end. So I don’t blame them for taking this long, I just don’t like it 😂

Well I appreciate that you replied to me, I was genuinely curious and not meaning to seem confrontational about it. There are even some points in there that have always stuck in my mind too from before she gave her testimony/when I was on the fence. The butterfly needle situation in particular.

I can see why a lot of people might think the scapegoat theory is plausible, especially if you’ve experienced it, it does happen in healthcare there’s a lot of a covering. What I don’t get though is the fact that the hospital raised it with the police themselves. If it was a case of sweeping poor care under the rug, why would they do that? The other thing is the insulin poisonings, which have been agreed by all could only have been on purpose.

So the only possible outcome is that she did it?
Based on the evidence we’ve heard, yes I believe that it is the only possible and plausible and reasonable outcome that she did what she is accused of sadly

Alll of that evidence and those measly points are reasonable doubt??! Seriously. How about the poisoning? There is an accepted poisoner on the ward.
You attacked people for seeing the note as evidence of a confession, yet you’re literally forming your reasonable doubt of her guilt because there are other babies that died on the unit? Their deaths will be explainable! They’re not part of the case, what on Earth do they show about her innocence? They didn’t take baby G too early? She was born very prem but had overcome all the worst hurdles by the time she got to CoCH. Baby K was there too early but HAD to be born there in an emergency and was being transferred out. There’s no evidence at all that the needle left in punctured anything.

There is a very big difference between a desaturation, a collapse and a cardiac arrest. The latter being pretty rare, especially when totally out the blue. Which babies had cardiac arrests when Letby wasn’t around?

My BIL was sat in the garden (on the grass) with a beer, took a massive drink and AFTER HE SWALLOWED realised there was a slug in it.
Was one of the funniest moments of my life 😂😂😂😂
That slug died happy at least. I guess it’s one way of adding protein into your diet 🤣

I need to make some gimmicky healthfood book, like ‘The Slug Protocol’ or something…

Also, re the “other deaths” and “other collapses” we have gone over this repeatedly over these threads by many people.
The deaths and collapses she is accused of had NO medical explanation as found by independent reports that is why the “others” don’t matter because they can be explained by medical reasoning

Ok not the fastest way ever but I’ve done this successfully before (and since then I’ve built up such a pile of rit you wouldn’t believe, but that’s another story 😂) - you take a month, 30 days. On day 1 you bin 1 item - can be a wardrobe, can be a paper clip or an old birthday card, size doesn’t matter. Day 2 you get rid of 2 things. Day 3, 3. And so on. By the end of the month you’ve got rid of about 400 things. I get competitive with myself so I spend the day looking for what I can bin tomorrow 😂 old knickers, Tupperware, medicine spoons, trinkets from that holiday 19 years ago - GET IN THE BIN. It becomes addictive 😂

Burnt my bloody spinach (was pruning my Cosmos and got carried away) I thought oh it'll be fine it's only a bit, it'll be reet. Oh lord it was rank. Really rank.

So the next question for you all has to be:

What's the WORSE thing you've ever had in your mouth?
15 stitches from being kicked in the face playing football. 😵💫😱

Evening all. I don't usually comment on the LL threads so I hope you don't mind me barging in now but I wanted to ask you a question if I may?

Those handover sheets that she had stashed in her house. Why do you think she had them? I've been trying to figure that out because obviously she had a shitload of them and as well as the ones with the names of her victims (she is guilty af on all charges) there were also loads of others.
Did she keep them as souvenirs? Had she tried to kill babies on those other handover sheets and not been caught? Was she just such a twit she took home confidential paperwork? What is the general consensus on them?

Well kindly duck off then. It's really that simple.

It's been 10 months, I don't know what you expect.
